Mikkellers tribute to the green gold.

What a fantastic IPA. This is finally a European IPA that competes with the best in America. Aroma is a tad lacking with notes of citrus, malts, and grass. Taste is wonderfully balanced with nice bitterness and mellow sweetness and a crisp dry finish.

Hazy amber gold with a creamy biege head. Honey and fruit aroma, with hints of something that make me think it will be bitter. Very bitter fruit taste, really hangs around the back of the throat. Great drop.

Green grass, raw hop aroma. Probably the strongest fresh, hop-resin, smelling beer Ive tasted. citrusy, a bit of resin. Very bitter, the hops pretty much overpowering any hints of malts in the taste (or wait, theres actually something .. a bit of caramel, probably due to the, I assume, long boil). This fruit/malt ratio makes me actually think of a Belgian beer [edit: appears it is brewed in Belgium!]. Somewhat hot, alcohol coming through. This could probably rinse your palate of any food, no matter how greasy, leaving you thinking youve lived on hops all week.

UPDATED: AUG 20, 2012 pours a nice dark gold/copper color with a nice head to it. citrus based nose with some copper tones, caramel, navel oranges, and some sort of oxidative tones. full bodied with a real good feel. Some hoppy tones along with tones of caramel, oranges and copper. this is okay. There is an oxidative flavor that I couldnt really get over. A solid IPA but not much more.

The beer in the glass is amber colored with a soapy head that disappears quickly. Mild hoppy, spicy, slightly sweet smell. Starts with a very fruity hop aroma, relatively sweet and caramelly in the background. The middle part shows caramelly, slightly sweet, with lots of citrussy aroma hops! The finish also aroma hoppy with citrussy and caramel bonds. Absolutely horny and very drinkable IPA!

Bottle outside Frank (camper) at Bromyard Folk Festival, 11.09.11 This was purchased at Beers of Europe recently Pours amber with a white head that sticks on the way down the glass. Nicely bitter, soft in mouth, good citrus punching through. Very nice beer, but rating a tad sloppy and lazy. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

33cl bottle - 5 months/17 days after bottle date. Red-Orange colour, sticky eggshell coloured head. Aromas of grapefruit, some clove, pineapple. very sweet first taste, after which the bitters burst open with a looong finish. Nice

Dark orange body with a creamly off white head. Great hoppy aroma, pine and grapefruit notes, as well as caramel. Amazing hoppy flavour. A great IPA.
