, Helsinki. Ambery nut brown colour with a smalll off-white beige head. Aroma is a lot of spices along with some slight rye, sweet malts as well as raisins. Flavour is rather similar. Too spicy for my tastes. A bit watery as well.
I’m disappointed. Worst Mikkeller I’ve ever tasted. Mild and boring. This december I haven’t tasted any good winter beer, so I really waited for the moment I get to try this one. tiong (7278) - Espoo, FINLAND - DEC 17, 2010

Light, mildly spicy ale that doesn’t really taste like dubbel at all. Palate is nice but otherwise pretty boring.

6 Superclove! That’s about it, it completely dominates, sure tehre’s something sweet and sloppy behind that too, but the clove is way up front.
4 Rich red, large sticky head
6- Bland but fruity. Work that out! A little mushroom, and unsurprisingly some clove.
4 Sweet smooth palate, gentle carbonation. Finish is softle spicy.
12 Quite heavy, but not off-putting, I can imagine having a large one without too much complaint.
Draught @ Kuikka. Pours almost clear, dark nutty brown with a small tan head. Taste is medium bitter, palate has a medium body with a bit thin mouthfeel. Aroma has spices, citrus, light malts and bread.

Ruby colour, slightly cloudy, creamy thin head. Belgian yeast esters and surprisngly citric hoppiness on the nose. Dried fruits, dry pils malts and a hint of spices (cloves?). Fresh, dry malty taste with some woody bitterness. Light, not watery body. Rather nice. rosenbergh (11532) - Tampere, FINLAND - DEC 5, 2010

Dark clear reddish mahogany colour with tiny off-white head.
Mild dark fruits, rosebud and berries in aroma.
Mild hops, fruits, perfume, dark fruits and malt in flavour.
Thinnish. Gets a bit stale when warmer.
We all know Mikkeller could do much better but I guess once again this is "suomalaiseen makuun". Belgian Dubbel? I doubt.

Clear copper brown color, small beige head. Berryish and slightly caramelly aroma. Light to medium bodied. Front has some caramel and sweet berries, but flavor is dominated by bready maltyness and hops. Maybe hints of spiceyness, some black pepper at least. Light bready and spicey bitterness lingering in the aftertaste. Decent session beer, although not at all dubbel like they advertise it. More like a hoppy red ale.
(Draught at William K Kurvi, Helsinki) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had orange peel, fruitiness, malts and other spices. Palate was medium bodied and quite dry with medium carbonation. The flavours I found were malts, spices, hops, citricness, acridness, mild saltiness and medium bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy and bitter. This beer would have benefited from fuller and maltier body and stronger alchohol content. Now, the beer was too weak .
