Bottle bought in Copenhagen. It poureda ahazy golden-orange liquid with a big head. Lots of fruity hops on the nose. Fruity and sweet taste with a relatively light bitterness. Bready malty body. Smooth and milky mouthfeel. Nice fruity DIPA.

Bottle. Golden, cloudy, small to average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate to full malty and sweetish aroma, some caramel and tropical fruitiness, grapefruit hoppyness, light alcohol. Body medium to full, malty and sweetish flavor, some caramel and some tropical fruitiness with grapefruit - piney hoppyness, some alcohol. Finish is average to long, malty and sweetish, light caramel and some tropical fruitiness, lots of piney - herbal hoppyness, alcohol. OK hoppyness and fruitiness, but really too much alcohol in the finish.

330 ml bottle courtesy of rlgk. Pours hazy reddish golden with a big frothy offwhite head that slowly dissipates while leaving lacing and trace on the glass. Smell is sweet and hoppy with grapefruit juice, caramel, apricots, pineapple, alcohol, brown sugar, pine, grass and hints of resinous wood. Taste is sweet and bitter with caramel, sugar, pine, alcohol, grapefruit juice, orange peal, lemon zest, freshly cut grass, peaches, pineapple, passion fruit, red currants and honeydew melon. Mouthfeel is sticky sweet, boozy and medium bodied. Finish is sweet, bitter and tiny metallic with grapefruit peal, orange peal, pine, caramel, pineapple and alcohol. Too much alcohol IMO.

Pours a nice orange color with a white crown. The taste is all about the hop and some citra and pine maby, small touch of alcohol but maby thats just.me. The aftertaste is bitter of course but not too bitter.

Bottle labeled both Hop Burn High as Low... Strange. Pours out a dark orange colour with a nice, white head on top. Really hoppy resin in the aroma and loads of citrus and pines. Flavour is really hop forward yet easy to drink. It has a good amount of bitter flavours to it, but it is nice in balance.

Bottle. Pours a murky orange color with a white head. Aroma is of grapefruit, pine, peach, sweet malt and a little caramel. Flavor follows the nose with the grapefruit, peach, pine, sweet malt and caramel characters. The body is medium with an oily mouth feel. Overall a pretty tasty DIPA.

Fresh and stinky, is there such an aroma? In this strong IPA, there is... I love it. I love the modern European craft beer take on the strong IPA. It usually involves a less aggressive and straight-forward character. Whats here is a great thing: First of all, the palate is so lively -- its not a typical creamy juice like the doubles and triples of America. Theres more carbonation and I like this a lot. It helps lift the heavy body of a strong ale. Moreover, theres that dry and bitter hoppiness I need and that wins in the end. Love it, love that surprise cheesiness and not quite yet ripe fruit flavor that maybe some raters would disagree with. This has it for me.

Bottle. Pours a murky orange with a big off-white head. Good lacing. Sweet pine and citrus hop aroma with a cheesy note and a malty backbone. Flavour is fat and swetish with pine and citrus hops and an alcohol bite. Malt in the back. Bitter and tart finish with more alcohol bite. Palate feels a bit oily. Overall pretty good, and seems more balanced than the low version, but still feels like it lacks something. 08.06.12.

Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen
Cloudy light amber color with a dull hue; creamy head. The aroma is strong, fruity (plums, yellow stone fruits), but also overripe or rotting fruits a bit later, cheesy later again. Some malt and caramel flavor, strong bitterness, some resins and light fruitiness without excellence of hop qualities, and it has a sharp boozy character; all this really not cohesive, and it tastes like half and half of IIPA and Tennents Super. Its incredible, but (even if I would have liked to taste them side to side) this is worse than the bottom fermentation version.
40kr (7$) per 20cl, for a own beer, is very steep.
