Bottled. Poured medium-orange with a sticky, well-retained beige head. The aroma picked up spicy pineapple and pine resin over sweet caramel.. this citrus was very fresh here.. nice stuff! The flavor had a sweet caramel and biscuity base, with aggressive bitterness (pine, citrus, and black pepper) and alcohol warmth around.. peppery alcohol and hefty bitterness on the long, belly-warming finish. Medium-plus bodied and very bitter as mentioned on the palate.. alcohol was present, but it was well balanced.. good brew! OleR (4804) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 3, 2012
Bottle, shared by GrOve. Slight unclear, pure gold. Firm white top. Nice in-your-face fruity hop aroma. Apricot, passionfriut, pineapple and mix bag citrus fruits. Taste is certainly hop driven. Strong and sharp fruity bitterness. Fruity hop flavor too, with notes of resin and pine. Sweet malty backbone. Alcohol well hidden. Medium to full body. Jammy texture. And as stated on the label, big ’’hop burn’’ in a long finish. A nice hop experience, a bit one-dimentional though. kermis (12869) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JUN 3, 2012
Draft at Bishops Arms, Copenhagen. Pours hazy golden with an off white head. Aroma of grassy hops and citrus. Flavour is initially sweet followed by a bitter hop explosion. Unfortunately the finish is a little strange with a little soap and fish. Rune (12587) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JUN 1, 2012
330ml bottle from Ølbutikken, shared at the second day of the Absalon tasting session. Clear, dark golden body. Spotty lacing from a film-type layer. Rich aroma of fresh and dried fruity hops. Bittersweet tropical fruits up front followed by sharp bittering hops burning down the throat. Likable in smaller doses, heavy to drink (Copenhagen, hotel room 13.05.2012). phredrik (1024) - Copenhagen (formerly Aalborg), DENMARK - JUN 1, 2012
Bottle @ ØlKonsortiet. Pours orange with a small white head. Aroma is very nice and hoppy, intense passion fruit, grape and citrs, a hint of banana, a touch of alcohol, a touch of maltiness. Taste is massively hoppy, citrus, kiwi and pineapple notes, lots of malt body, a bit of esters. Very massive, very tasty.

0.33 l bottle. Hazy copper color. Aromas of sweet toffee and tropical fruits. Sweet, toffeish, nutty and bitter flavor with campher, menthol and pine. Long pungent hard menthol like bitterness. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - MAY 29, 2012
Thanks to my brother for sharing this bottle.
The beer pours a hazy golden orange color with a white head. The aroma has some nice grapefruit and apricot notes, as well as a touch of biscuit malt. The flavor is similar, with a lot of oranges and other tropical fruit coming through. The bitterness is fairly low, but the hop flavor really shines. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. crackedmachine (481) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 28, 2012
Pours a very cloudy, almost murky dark orange with a thin off-white head. Aroma is somewhat unusual, and not tremendously aromatic: a lot of hops - primarily pine and a little citrus, some caramel, but there is a lightly caustic element, maybe a tad soapy. Flavor has plenty of caramel sweetness but it is not overdone, and a very nice bite on the finish. Exceptionally resinous and piny, and a bit of grapefruit in there as well. Intense bitterness is pretty well mitigated by the malt sweetness. Enjoying this bottle immensely. oh6gdx (26482) - Vasa, FINLAND - MAY 26, 2012
Bottled. Slightly hazy orangeish golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is bigtime fruityness meeting sweet caramel. Flavour is rather similar, but also has a bunch of bitterness to it. Also a slight alcoholic burn to it. BBB63 (6557) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - MAY 26, 2012
12 oz bottle and served in my GI IPA Tulip: Pours a light copper, deep golden hue with a creamy head and very nice lace. The aroma is heavy dank and resiny hops, plenty of pine. mango and grapefruit esters along with some clove. I bit metallic and astringent as well. What little malt you can find is somewhat biscuity and a hint of caramel. The taste is more of the same, heavy hop bitterness with a fair amount of citrus and hop spice. I actually got a bit more malt then I would have guessed but still not enough to make this beer remotely balanced. Extreme metal and band-aid aftertaste then add the biting alcohol. Yep, the mouth feel is aggressive and sharp but the finish is a tad too much, reducing the enjoyment of drinking this beer. Neato to try, would not buy another.
