Bottle. Poured clear copper color with an average to huge frothy off-white head that was lasted with excellent lacing. Medium to heavy earthy hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy smooth bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish with an alcohol burn of moderate to long duration. This is a standout beer and good pick for #7000.

Bottle @ home. Hazy, brownish/burnt orange appearance with a big, off-white head. Fairly earthy, a bit resiny, mild citrus hoppy, a bit spicy, bready malty aroma. Somewhat tangy, pretty strong resiny, citrusy, earthy/organic hoppy, somewhat bitter, lightly toasty malty flavor with a note of booze on the finish along with a fair amount of hop bitterness. A little goopy at the end. Not bad.

Idiosynkrasie (7516) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAR 9, 2012
330ml bottle. Cloudy orangey golden colour with huge frothy white lacing head. Hop aroma has also "orange" notes: mandarin, orange zest, "Waldhonig", resin. A sweet malt part sporting a plethora of impressions from the woods - resin, honey, coniferes - competes with dry, bitter, biting, soapy hop taste. An Imperial IPA with a prevalence on the sweet malty side as well as on the dry to soapy hoppy side, compared to examples emphasizing the dark fruit malt and the fresh citrus fruit or grassy hop side.

11.2 oz bottle. Pours a deep caramel orange amber with a huge frosty and fluffy cream colored head. Aroma of piney malts, sweet hops, tangerine, mango notes and bready malts. Taste of piney malts, mango, tangerine, bread malts and floral hints.

Spitze! 11/14/14/14/11/14

Pours dark orange with a tight white head that leaves massive lacing. Aroma is mango, peach, with that familiar tang that I get from Mikkeller IPAs. This is extremely bitter at first but opens to a little bready malt and a slightly sweet finish. I think much of the more delicate hop flavors are overpowered here by the intense piney bitterness. Just a touch astringent as well. These beers are always an adventure. Glad I had it, but greatly prefer there other recent release of "19"

LoFi (1718) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAR 6, 2012
Bottle. Amber, large beige head leaving a lot of lacing. Aroma: tropical fruits, peaches, toffee, vanilla. Taste: peaches, resin, lemon, toffee, honey, pepper. Bitter, but not as much as expected. Dry finish. Full-bodied. A bit harsh, but quite tasty.

50 cl bottle @ Timo A.
Pours hazy golden color with small head. Aroma of grass, exotic fruits, hops, herbs, malts and caramel. Flavor of hoppy fruits, grass, caramel malts, juniper, hints rowan berry and some light toffee notes. Quite bitter palate with a sweetish dry finish.

33 cl bottle, BBE 24.11.2017
Aroma is hoppy with lots of exotic fruits, especially mango. Also hints of gooseberry bush. Creamy palate. Flavour is rather hoppy with exotic fruits, mango and resin. Usually I don’t like the beers over 120 IBU but this was nice.

330 mL bottle. Pours a light, hazy orange with a medium, white head and good lacing. The aroma is lemons, tangerines, pine wood, caramel and butterscotch. The flavor is very bitter, but well balanced with malts. The palate is medium, lively, acidic and smooth. The aftertaste is pleasantly bitter. Overall, this is a very good IIPA.
