Bottle. Pours hazy golden with a frothy white small head. Aroma is pine, grass, bread, some tropical fruits and apricot. Taste is near heavy sweet and bitter. Body is medium+, texture is oily and mild creamy, carbonation is soft. Finishes dry, bitter, hoppy and boozy. A very rough beer and drinkability is low. Dunkelgoldenes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr hopfig malzig, fruchtig. Geschmack sehr malzig, fruchtig, hopfig, grasig, leicht alkoholisch. Geokkjer (7667) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - APR 20, 2014
Bottle.Pours hazy deep golden with a white head.Aroma of malt, frutitiness, some pine and citrus with some spicy notes. Flavor is sweet and malty with some caramel, biscuits, bread, pine and warming alcohol. Medium to full body, average carbonation. Ibrew2or3 (8913) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - MAR 26, 2014
33cl bottle pours with a crystal clear copper body with golden hues and supporting a nice full dirty white head of foam. The aroma offers up sweet malts, sticky malt blunted pine hops as well as malt sweetened faint fruity ester notes. The taste is rich and deep and hoppy with robust sticky pine hop goodness as well as some resiny floral hops where there’s a solid sugar malt sweetness in the background. To midway a light fruity ester note manages to surface amid the thicket of good rich hoppiness. Cool brew! mikedR (1561) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - MAR 1, 2014
Nice. Malty. Sli that’ll sweet malts. Good malt backbone. Not particularly hoppy. Surprisingly drinkable for the ABV. Good.

Aroma is citrus and grapefruit notes...very pronounced. Taste is a fresh bitterness that dominates all notes...very tangy finish that persists. Very high IBUs to be sure.Cloudy gold/amber body with medium frothy head. Smalle (222) - Leuven, BELGIUM - FEB 20, 2014
Bottle from Willems, Grobbendonk.
Nose: pine resin, orange zest. A lot of hops, not much beer.
Taste: Agressively hoppy and bitter with a bit of alcohol.
A bit too extreme for my taste. 77ships (11481) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - FEB 20, 2014
33 cl. bottle @ home. Procured from Willems. BBF 16/07/2019 (seems more than excessive for the style). Pours an almost clear orange, head is small & white but very lasting. Smell is very bitter dried mandarin & orange peel, hugely bitter pine resin hops, bit oily, very raw grapefruit. Taste is similar, hugely bitter dried mandarin + orange peels and crazily bitter pine resin, very heavily so almost venturing into floral department, faint caramel malts underneath. Lighter, oily touch sticky body with carbonation being a touch too high. This is way too much, nearly bordering on non-enjoyable. A beer for people who think that the more hops, the better. A miss from Mikkeller, I finished it & it wasn’t all bad but it way too much for me obviously. mjakopa (268) - Maribor, SLOVENIA - FEB 19, 2014
Pours a light gold colour with light head. Aroma is quite alcoholic, but backed with hoppyness, sweetness and some bubblegum. Taste is sweeter than expected, but still hoppy and dry aftertaste. In general a very interesting sweet IPA, but the alcohol can be a bit much. SlackerMads (3588) - DENMARK - FEB 13, 2014
Light hazy yellow with a medium sized slowly diminishing creamy white head. Passion fruit, apricot, light pine, light bread, light caramel, light alcoholic. Nothing sticks much out, seems a bit more closed than the high version with more dominating malt notes. Full body, medium sweet and bitter with a long lasting bitter finish.
