330ml brown bottle, black and white label. Gold pour with some fine haze, whitish head is quite large, very dense extra creamy, clumpy and frothy. A very large amount of thick lacing is left coating the glass. The nose has thick caramel with some grain in the background, some citrus, light pine, folral with honey notes - much sweeter than expected. Taste has sweet caramel, grains, grassy hops, citrus, honey and alcohol. Finishes with a light citrusy bitterness, alcohol is noticable, light grains trail out. Mid-to full bodied, medium carbonation. In the end - strong and sweet malts, moderate hops, has some double IPA characteristics, but the overall verdict is a bit too much sweetness, hops end up taking a backseat. The burn is more from the alcohol.

Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer. Wersja Hop Burn High nieco bardziej wyrazista i chmielowo świeża.

Bottle. Pours cloudy caramel color with light beige head an substantial lacing. Nose of tropical fruit (pineapple, mango, grapefruit) with some perfume and a touch of pine. Tropical fruit upfront (pineapple and mango) followed by rich toasted malt. Long, resiny, mouthcoating finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very nice double IPA from Mikkeller. Super rich, very deep malty beer. Hops are really potent. Pine and dark citrus fruit,

355ml bottle. Rich orange in colour with a very thin white head, light patchy lacing. The aroma is quite sweet, lots of caramel, malt and alcohol. The flavour is of alcohol up front, some hops, caramel malts and spruce. Very warming bitter mouthfeel, medium body, moderate carbonation. Finishes long, boozy. A fucking huge beer, way over the top. Chewy, boozy and hoppy.

Bottled. Goldeny amber colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is citrus, some bready and mild toffeeish notes to it. Flavour is fruity, floral, some grassy notes as well as mild caramel and bready maltiness to it. Quite balanced, though the alcohol gives it a slight sweet sting.

Bottle, tasted two years ago. Intense aroma of citrus fruits, pine, caramel. Very strong bitterness lightly balanced by malty and caramel notes. Very good.

Bottle from 100 piv. Orange golden color with medium white head. Orange zest in honey sweet malt in aroma. Sweet taste with malt, oranges, orange zest, light pines, warming alcohol. Tasty.

Good, but not great. Color’s a bit dark for a pils. Aroma is good - hops malt toffee caramel, maybe a bit of oxidation. Flavor’s like nose, but massive bitterness, especially in the finish, which thankfully isn’t too long. Body’s good, but also suffers from the insane bitterness. Pretty much a pilsner in name only.
