COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is a part of a Single Hop IPA series by Mikkeller. We created this series to showcase hop varieties on their own. This gives the consumer the possibility of smelling and tasting the unique characteristics of each variety and hopefully helping to educate people about the wonderful world of hops. For each beer, the single hop variety was used in the same weight for bittering, aroma and flavor and for dry hopping. All 19 varieties of single hop beers in this series were brewed the same week and with malts from the same batches and the same yeast and fermentation temperatures. This is done to better compare the characteristics of the different hop varieties.

3.5
zacgillbanks (5726) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - OCT 31, 2013
Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. A hazy orange beer with a zesty orange fruity and citrus flavour, spicy earthy notes and a warming fruity finish.

2.7
nuplastikk (6634) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 27, 2013
The Amarillo is a little more forgiving than the Warrior, but still pretty gross. Sub par, not worth a detailed description.

3.5
abemorsten (3690) - Mosterøy, NORWAY - OCT 26, 2013
Sample from bottle at the Cardinal stand at Nærbø, Ølfestivalen 2013. Hazy nut golden body with a tanned film. Elderflowers and ripe pears on the nose. Fruity, bitter and malty flavors. Medium body. Long finish.

3.7
floydian1 (1525) - FNQ, Australia, - OCT 16, 2013
330ml bottle at home. This is similar to the Nugget version but slightly more citrussy aromas and astringent in the finish. Again a lovely smooth malty mouthfeel.

3.5
CPH2200 (345) - DENMARK - SEP 19, 2013
33 cl bottle 6.8%. Light murdy brown with small head. Fresh and bitter (72 ibu) with pine and hops . bitter aftertaste. Balanced but somewhat boring.

3.7
jamestulloch (4469) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 17, 2013
Bottle from Vino Wines. Hazy amber body with a thin off-white head that holds well. Aroma of caramel, lime and faint mango. Flavour of pine, citrus and yeast. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft carbonation. Better than Mikkeller’s Cascade but not quite as intense as their Simcoe.

4.4
WanderinCelt87 (197) - Hamburg, New Jersey, USA - SEP 7, 2013
Goes down smoother than what I was expecting. Has an amazing aroma. Whish I could try it on tap.

3.6
danlo (3421) - Darlington, Durham, ENGLAND - SEP 7, 2013
330ml bottle. Pours a dark orange amber colour, frothy foam off-white head and aroma of passionfruit, mango, citrus, resiny hop. Taste is malt caramel with tropical fruits, orangey notes and a grapefruit, pine, grassy hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Quite drinkable IPA.

4.1
lusikka (7833) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 5, 2013
330 ml bottle, enjoyed at Barcelona in a tasting of Centennial-Citra-Amarillo-Simcoe.
Pours a dark amber copper colour with a small white head. Aroma is very, very strong with herbal hops, weed, grass, citrus and all that. Very intensive aroma. And so is the flavour; very strong herbal hops, grapefruit, lemongrass, sweet mango fruitiness, weed, mild caramel sweetness and earthiness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation and a very long, lingering bitter, grassy finish. The best from this hop series.
