Same copper-amber color as the others in this series - very nice appearance. Aroma is spicy, bready, sort of cheesy, maybe even gingery. Feels more carbonated - very bubbly. A bit of breadiness balancing the hoppy bitterness. Very bitter in a different way than the others - not much else going on though. One of the less interesting of the series. Smells very yeasty in a very slightly cheesy way, with some nice malty breadiness. Taste doesn't match the aroma at all - it's quite bitter and dry without much other flavour. Medium body, very dry. A little boring but not bad. hobsch (505) - Cologne, GERMANY - DEC 1, 2013
Bottle 0.33l from Daniels Tongeren. Pours hazy orange amber with medium off white head. Aroma has resin, caramel, earthy, bread, citrus. Taste has light malt sweetness, is medium to very bitter, citrus. This beer has a medium body and soft carbonation. Finish is bitter and long. Boozy aftertaste. Not an easy going IPA but interesting and drinkable. Fredis23 (568) - Hickory Hills, Illinois, USA - NOV 30, 2013
I was looking forward to Trying Mikkeler, since it gets so many praises of being good and innovative brewer. I was excited to find It’s Hop Series at a reasonable price. Unfortunately my anticipation and excitement was not matched by high standards that everyone praises Mikkeller to live by. Everyone in supply chain is to blame… Mikkeller does not have production dates, Distributor Trying to sell the product no matter what, Binny’s not having balls to stand up to its supplier and let them know that it is out of date and no good. I was pissed… All of them were old and stale, therefore complete waste of time and money. Every time I come across bad batch I swear to stop buying anything that has no dates… I just might do that, since there are plenty of other choices… Going Back to Mikkeller Hop Series… All of them Poured A Shade Lighter Or A Shade Darker of Muddy Brown. All of them Had Smaller or Larger Floaters. Huge Head, Decent Lacing. Earthy, Stale Hops Aroma. Tasted pretty much the same: Earthy, Malt, Stale Hops. Moderate Bitter Finish… Pass It Unless You Know It Is Fresh… BVery (11238) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - NOV 10, 2013
Bottle from John’s Grocery in Iowa City. Slightly hazy deep orange pour with a white head. Pine, but not resiny or bitter. Kind of a mint / menthol vaporous thing going on. Some citrus. This is really good.

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. This orange-amber beer has rich orange marmalade and burnt caramel flavours a creamy mouthfeel and pine on the finish. Excellent! jamestulloch (4272) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 15, 2013
Bottle from Vino Wines. Hazy amber body with a thin off-white head that holds well. Aroma of mint, white grape, caramel and grapefruit. Bright flavour of minty mouthwash, sharp blood orange and dusty yeast. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft carbonation. A lovely beer that has given me a new appreciation of the Columbus hop. zaf (308) - ITALY - SEP 29, 2013
Murky amber,rich head,lacing.
Aroma is a somewhat sweet toasty/buiscuit malt. Mild hop aroma-this could be aged and definatly wasnt stored refrigerated. Light pine/earthy-evergreen-mint/slight orange.
taste is its malt base with light tones of earthy light pine. Pine and citrus in the bitter. Mellow bitter but balanced. I feel a little cheated out of experiencing the true character of columbus by this being as old as whatever date this was made that it does not tell you on the bottle. Ive had his series before but none maybe that fresh, but would imagine they are all pretty great within the first few months. Panzuriel (2333) - Westerville, Ohio, USA - SEP 14, 2013
Very cloudy bronzy brew with a head of tan head of small to medium bubbles. Nose is strong with the slightly pine scent of hops. Taste is dry initially with a good hit of hops. They start with more pine but resolve to almost a white pepper on the finish. Body is lively. Finish is a touch of bitters. Quite an interesting beer.
