fruity floral aroma is the forte, but the flavor comes off a little more on the boring side. good balance with the carmel malts, but not enough going on to stand out. 94 ibu."

Good and still relatively strong. Citrus and spiced hop aroma. Burnt orange color with a good head. Slightly full and with good weight. Carbonation was still strong. Harsh bitterness up front that subsided a little. Slightly sour and sweet malt flavors to finish. Enjoyed it. bigguns22 (798) - Maryland, USA - MAY 24, 2014
Very good beer. Amber in color with a nice creamy head with a little yellow in it. Aroma is caramel and citrus. Caramel and floral flavors are most noted. Also some citrus and pineapple sneak in. kraddel (7859) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - APR 12, 2014
UPDATED: APR 15, 2016 4/12/2014 Aged IPA’s single hop comparing together with and thnx to ( all bottles ) Karin .
Since all these are to old, I will judge more gentle here . They all held up pretty well , for their age , and even though I prefer fresh WAY more , they were not too bad at all , to be honoust !
Pours dark amber / almost brown . fast fading, small white head .
No smell at all . Taste is straight bitter . No complexity, no other tastes . no aftertaste, but a bit of dusty bitterness .
Edit : 4/15/2016 Drank side by side with the 19 other variants of the serie. I would like to note up front that - since these beer’s are no longer in production, they were not fresh. this rating should thus be viewed with that in mind, and can shed a light on the ’ageing’ differences between the variants. They were probably better fresh...
Pours rather clear, dark amber, small white foam. Smell is very boozy ( vodka comes to mind ) bit of dessinfection scent as well. Taste is sharp, bit bitter, dry, rough taste if grains ( not smooth at all ) and a boozy undertone. Pretty bad. Curently giving this a score of 3.2, as 1 of the 2 worst aged variants. Gonna keep the Original score here though, since it was less aged when I had it first, and thus more honest. solidfunk (8838) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - APR 11, 2014
A little more poignant than cluster but bravo has still been the best. Some citrus and peel here. Barley malt a little light tasting here. Medium bitter finish. All of this are very difficult to tell apart. Pours brownish orange with food head and lacing. Bottle on sale at Schneider’s.

Mikkeller’s single hop brew is a fantastic way to familiarise with different varieties. First hop tasted and double thumbs up for this beer.
Appearance: orange pale . thick persistent brown head.
Aromas: caramel. yeast. slightly citrusy. pine.
taste: slightly bitter with long bitter after taste.
good balance between sweetness and bitterns. weark (792) - Morges, SWITZERLAND - DEC 12, 2013
Bottle from Erzbiershof - hazy amber color, with small beige head - aroma is caramalt, light citrus, light spices, pine - flavor is cramalt, pine, resinous, hints of yeast and citrus - Medium body, medium bitterness, dry, long bitter dry finish - not my favourite hops but interesting to try tadahster (112) - SWITZERLAND - DEC 12, 2013
Bitterness and herby quality, some grass and little cereal sweetness. But as all of these single hop beers: onion, fennel and rubber. Somewhat brutal, somewhat good. Fredis23 (564) - Hickory Hills, Illinois, USA - NOV 30, 2013
I was looking forward to Trying Mikkeler, since it gets so many praises of being good and innovative brewer. I was excited to find It’s Hop Series at a reasonable price. Unfortunately my anticipation and excitement was not matched by high standards that everyone praises Mikkeller to live by. Everyone in supply chain is to blame… Mikkeller does not have production dates, Distributor Trying to sell the product no matter what, Binny’s not having balls to stand up to its supplier and let them know that it is out of date and no good. I was pissed… All of them were old and stale, therefore complete waste of time and money. Every time I come across bad batch I swear to stop buying anything that has no dates… I just might do that, since there are plenty of other choices… Going Back to Mikkeller Hop Series… All of them Poured A Shade Lighter Or A Shade Darker of Muddy Brown. All of them Had Smaller or Larger Floaters. Huge Head, Decent Lacing. Earthy, Stale Hops Aroma. Tasted pretty much the same: Earthy, Malt, Stale Hops. Moderate Bitter Finish… Pass It Unless You Know It Is Fresh…
