This beer is a part of a Single Hop IPA series by Mikkeller. We created this series to showcase hop varieties on their own. This gives the consumer the possibility of smelling and tasting the unique characteristics of each variety and hopefully helping to educate people about the wonderful world of hops. For each beer, the single hop variety was used in the same weight for bittering, aroma and flavor and for dry hopping. All 19 varieties of single hop beers in this series were brewed the same week and with malts from the same batches and the same yeast and fermentation temperatures. This is done to better compare the characteristics of the different hop varieties.

Real yummy IPA. Love the single hop ipa series, tried alot of these. Good stuff. Clean, with a tiny bit of sediment, golden aurburn color. Good legs and lots of malt teh hops are sublte but stand on their own. Loved it

Very misty orange body and off white head. While the base beer is sstraightforward, the hops are earthy, raw, apricot and pine. Nice accessible bitterness, only light citrussy, more towards a hay like, farm quality. I like it!

11.2 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy orangey amber with a medium beige head. Nose of earthy dry hops, loads of pine tree, butterscotch and dry biscuity malts. Flavour of earthy dry hops, some pine, biscuity malts to back and almost a slight tartness (not in any "off" way though). This hop profile stood out amongst the rest simply due to that almost-tart-like finish. Quite solid.

12oz bottle shared amongst friends. Another one opened along side others from the Single Hop series. I found this one to be very typical of most IPAs. Nothing really stood out (bite, sweet, etc). Just a good drinking IPA.

330ml bottle poured into a tulip. Pours a clear dark orange with about a finger of white head. Aroma is mostly herbal with some citrus and caramel. Taste is light bitter. Caramel, herbal and very slight citrus. Medium bodied with a somewhat sticky texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, pretty good. Im now a fan of the palisade hop.

33cl bottle from Dranken Geers. Ambre, col pais crmeux beige. Arme donne un bouquet neutre moyennement herbac. Palais prsente un profile malt grill avec un houblon en retrait herbac rappelant des herbes de montagne qui se termine sur une brve amertume. Le tout conserve cette levure typique de Mikkeller.

Orange to amber colour, large to moderate head, slightly off-white. Surprisingly moderate aroma, not unpleasant in any way, but theres just too little of it. Hints of dust and tobacco. The flavour has also notes of dust and tobacco, The bitterness is okay, but the flavour has not much else going for it.

Di un ottimo colore ambrato con buona schiuma persistente. Al naso molto hoppy, mentre in bocca il Palisade vien pi coperto dal malto. Buon palato...
