COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is a part of a Single Hop IPA series by Mikkeller. We created this series to showcase hop varieties on their own. This gives the consumer the possibility of smelling and tasting the unique characteristics of each variety and hopefully helping to educate people about the wonderful world of hops. For each beer, the single hop variety was used in the same weight for bittering, aroma and flavor and for dry hopping. All 19 varieties of single hop beers in this series were brewed the same week and with malts from the same batches and the same yeast and fermentation temperatures. This is done to better compare the characteristics of the different hop varieties.

Bottle. Golden with a long lasting offwhite head. Fruity (in an odd way) and nutty aroma with a faint hoppy note. The flavour well balanced between sweetness and bitterness and has notes of nuts, caramel, hay and spinach.

[email protected]: copper/amber colour with small but persistent off-white head, smell is absolutely, utterly amazing, blue cheese & flowers, taste is very unusual but also sparked my memory since I have drank a beer with this amazing hop not that long ago and now I can pinpoint it, taste is earthly, fruity, hard cheese, melted plastic, autumn leaves, hint of grapefruit peel, & touch of pungent, lasting bitterness that coats the mouth, medium body & slightly dry finish

Bottle @ Odense Single Hop Event, May 2011. Pours cloudy golden with a small lasting white creamy head and lacings. Dry, fruity and herbal with notes of bubblegum. Smooth with a dry and bitter end.

Bottle 330ml.

Clear medium orange colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, moderate to light heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, fruity, acrid hop oil. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, spicy, candy, acrid hop oil, peppery. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. This is not my kind of hops ! [20110503]

Unclear honey-amber beer with a tan head. Lemony and soapy with a slightly astringent aftertaste. Very weak hop flavours though.

peterclash (47) - Malmö, SWEDEN - MAY 8, 2011
Perhaps the most intresting beer in Mikkellers new single hop series. A very odd hop, with complex, thick fruitiness. Gets even better if you add some drops of Mikkellers Warrior.

Bottle, bought @ LIVA, Kolding.
Clear coppery golden with a medium, frothy, off-white head. Light pear, peach and candy in the aroma, mild plastic, som caramel in the back. Medium carbonation, dry and light creamy mouthfeel with a slightly unfortunate dustiness. Flavour has bubblegum, heavy dusty and light plastic dryness. Some peach and pine as well. Not the best one.
