COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is a part of a Single Hop IPA series by Mikkeller. We created this series to showcase hop varieties on their own. This gives the consumer the possibility of smelling and tasting the unique characteristics of each variety and hopefully helping to educate people about the wonderful world of hops. For each beer, the single hop variety was used in the same weight for bittering, aroma and flavor and for dry hopping. All 19 varieties of single hop beers in this series were brewed the same week and with malts from the same batches and the same yeast and fermentation temperatures. This is done to better compare the characteristics of the different hop varieties.

JohnRMurdoch (4871) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - JUN 5, 2014
330ml bottle from Thistle News, Aberdeen. Hazy reddish amber brown, reasonable head. Grain resin hop aroma. Boiled sweet flavour and aftertaste. Interesting hop but not one of the best.

jamestulloch (4113) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - APR 30, 2014
Bottle from Cornelius. Murky amber body with yeast flecks floating around. Thick off-white head that holds well. Excellent lacing. Aroma of herbs, flowers and dried apricot. Flavour of lemony sorrel and dried fruit. Strong bitterness. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. I think this hop would work better in darker beers, with it’s dried fruit characteristic.

bottle. Deep amber with one finger head. I’ve had quite a few of this series at this point. They’re obviously all very similar other than the hops. I’m quite unfamiliar with Tettnanger. This is particularly sweet with very mild bitterness. There’s a subtle pepperiness also.

From notes. Clear, with an orange color and a tan head. Caramel, honey, hints of fruits like grapes and apple, some hay in the aroma. Medium dense with well matching carbonation. Bitter, slightly sour finish.

Bottiglia 33cl @ 28 erbe. Ambrata con schiuma persistente. Piuttosto amara e dall'aroma un po' stucchevole. Single hop non troppo riuscita. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhold

Botella de 33 cl en casa, mayo de 2013. De 2d2dspuma. Otra mas de la serie y como todas bastante buena, muy bien equilibrada en conjunto, con poco sabor y regusto amargo final. 38 ibus nada mas. Cuerpo medio. Buena en general.

SlackerMads (3360) - DENMARK - JAN 28, 2014
Bottle. Unclear deep orange with a thick good lacing foamy off white head. Aroma is discreet with light green herbal notes, dusty, dry flowers, fruit, caramel. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Aroma wise short finish, but has a long light dry mouthfeel.

jbruner (4742) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - DEC 25, 2013
38 theoretical IBU. Pours a cloudy copper from the bottle with particles in suspension, dissipating off-white head that leaves light lace. Aroma is malty sweetness, caramel and toffee, slight grassiness on the back end. Taste follows, hint of earth, but the hops have definitely fallen off. Definitely not fresh, but interesting concept.

Bottle. Loved the ideal behind this but way too expensive to try everyone. So I waited on trying these. Almost missed out. Last bottle on the shelve for this retired beer. Dark golden color, slightly hazy. Lots of floaties. Medium head. Taste is typical IPA, except, the aftertaste is not as bitter. Nice aroma, citrus, grapefruit.
