cloudy brown, smooth offwhite head. 3 mild aroma, slighly grassy and herbal. 6 flavor is citrussy, exotic fruits, malty, bitterness is sort of herbal, green tea. Christian (14090) - Odense, DENMARK - MAY 23, 2011
Odense single hop extravaganza May 16 2011. Clear amber beer with a lasting off-white head. Very weak aroma with grassy and herbal notes. Clean, but plain slightly herbal flavour. Clearly not an IPA hop... GAManiac (1946) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JUN 15, 2011
11.2oz bottle tasted alongside Amarillo and Willamette versions.
Pours hazy golden amber with a nice thick beige head that recedes to a thick cap. It’s not got the eye-catching look of the Amarillo but it’s good looking enough.
Aroma is very tame with only hints of hop aromas and it’s mostly lemongrass and faint earthy notes. The biscuity malts are more evident than in the other versions, largely due to the hops being less prominent.
The taste is just a tad better and has a more prominent floral character, maybe some pine but also a bit of actual flowers. The malts are noticeable and the finish is crisp.
The mouthfeel is a tad watery compared to the other two versions, lighter carbonation and body.
This is one of the IPAs in the series that I don’t think quite stands up on its own. Not much better than an average IPA for me. zdk (1917) - New York, New York, USA - JUN 18, 2011
Tap at Blind tiger for the single hop event - dry with pine needle hops. Sweet caramel malts. Fairly unremarkable.. don’t think they showcased this hop very well. sfhodense (4788) - Odense NØ, DENMARK - JUL 18, 2011
Pours amber with a beige head. Aroma is malt grass, pine and light flower. Flavour is malt, grass and pine. Light bitter.

Very round and sweet aroma, a bit stale unfortunately. Fruit notes with passion fruit dominating. Grass in the taste, slightly astringent. Pronounced bitterness.
Bottle. A clear one, dark golden in color and with a dense, off-white fingerthick head. Lacings. Caramel and a generic fruityness tending towards banana. Caramel borderline butterscotch and a herbal touch. Smooth as hell, dry and lightly warming. Pleasant bitterness and fruityness in the flavor. Overall, drinkable indeed, but not my favorite in any way. 110908 Meilby (11830) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - OCT 21, 2011
Bottle 330ml @ igniztionTheydon_Bois (22083) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - AUG 4, 2012
Pours cloudy deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel and light grass and floral hops. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.
Poured from bottle at home into a tulip to a slightly cloudy golden bronze colour with a thin off-white head.
You can smell the Deutsch hops on the nose allied to a little malt and yeast.
Some sweet maltiness in the taste along with a pinch of spice and citrus and perhaps a hint of honey.
Fairly high carbonation in this bottle with a crisp dry finish with notes of caramel in the aftertaste.
Not the best from this series IMHO but fair play for trying out Tettnanger hops in an IPA!

33cl bottle. brewed 2012-03-28, best before 2014-03-28. No batch info.
dark orange colour with a medium big white had that settled down fast. Lots of yeast sediments in the bottom of the bottle. Aroma is weak. Some faint notes of tropical fruits and malts, but not much else. Flavour is sweet with a small amount of bitterness. Malty with some bread and yeast. Very little tropical fruits. Short aftertaste.
