COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is a part of a Single Hop IPA series by Mikkeller. We created this series to showcase hop varieties on their own. This gives the consumer the possibility of smelling and tasting the unique characteristics of each variety and hopefully helping to educate people about the wonderful world of hops. For each beer, the single hop variety was used in the same weight for bittering, aroma and flavor and for dry hopping. All 19 varieties of single hop beers in this series were brewed the same week and with malts from the same batches and the same yeast and fermentation temperatures. This is done to better compare the characteristics of the different hop varieties.

MarkoNm (2745) - Novo mesto, SLOVENIA - MAR 8, 2015
Pours a dark coppery to light brown color, topped with a more than decent beige colored head. Malty aroma, notes of caramel can be picked up, also some floral and resin aroma. Taste starts with some minimal sweetness, immediately followed by decent although not too strong bitterness. Mild bittery feel in the aftertaste. Tastes pretty fine.

Bottle - big foamy head, nice medium-dark copper/Amber color, good size citrus/tropical fruit hop aroma and flavor with some mild earthy and pine notes, good malt backbone, very good overall ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

As goes for all the Hop Series beers I’ve tasted: the bottles were probably quite old, best before of April/May 2015, so some of the hop characteristics might have already gone away. Nice orange color with big head (darkness varied a bit). Bitter and fresh. Very bitter. umami? lingering bitterness, the IBU is really high.

chiiidog (42) - Lubbock, Texas, USA - SEP 3, 2014
Pours a lot darker than I’d expect from an IPA. Decent head and a TON of floaties (which don’t bother me at all). Smell is a little hoppy with some weird funky thing going on. Hmm. Taste is very malty with a bit of hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium, maybe a little on the thick side. Picked this up today from my local shop, now I see that it’s retired. Must be old. Definitely not worth the $7 I paid for the single 12 oz bottle. Very disappointed.

Burgers (344) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 11, 2014
Hazy amber, beautiful persistent cream head. Nose of hops and golden syrup. Bittersweet taste. Full mouthfeel. Lively carbonation. Long finish. One of the better single hops.

Bottle from Highland Ave. Package. Rusty brown with foamy white head. Aroma of hops, flora and caramel. Very hoppy taste hops with caramel at the end. Lots of carbonation. Light bodied.
