Backlog. Bottle from Systembolaget. Grassy with loads of malt, a hint of caramel and some tropical fruits. maekchu (4054) - Hirakata, JAPAN - MAR 5, 2014
Bottle from Five Points Bottle Shop (Atl Hwy). Light floral, fruity nose. Medium straw color with a fluffy white head. Mild peachy initial, with some other rougher fruit creeping in / mild bittering in mid / thin bitterness and then a pleasant, mostly sweet, sort of balance in finish. Medium body. Tasty. An interesting hybrid style. Zer0 (1226) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - NOV 27, 2013
Bottle at home. Pours cloudy golden. Aroma is quite odd. Some skunk, sourness, grass, malts and citrus fruits. Taste is light sour and medium bitter. Medium body with soft carbonation. Maybe slightly infected. Or simply not very good. It’s mikkeller so you never know I guess. cduncan14 (138) - Sandy Springs, Georgia, USA - SEP 12, 2013
Poured into a pint glass. Big, lemongrass aromas with some sweet citrus. It’s a golden-amber color, but it’s a lot more cloudy than I’d expect from an IPA. It’s got a frothy, white head that doesn’t go anywhere. This beer has some really great balance for an IPA. It’s pleasantly sweet on the front end with a nice hop backbone that reminds you that it’s definitely an IPA. This is my first Mikkeller beer, and I’ll be coming back for more! pjames317 (94) - Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 5, 2013
Single bottle purchased from Ardmore Bottle Shop. Aroma is similar to Chouffe Houblon, albeit a little more tame. "german" style presumably comes from the pale malt and hop varietals used. Appearance is a little hazier than your typical" Belgian", but still golden with minimal head (think Flying Fish Exit 4 American Trippel). Notes of grass, hay, lemon zest, earthy hops and perceptible yeast. Really interesting beer. Doesn’t really fall into the IPA category in my opinion. Definitely a dry beer with a crisp, almost spicy character. A gender bender for sure. Nice work from a brewery that doesn’t care much for conventional norms (at least with their beer!).

Rated in 2010 (Backlog) - Hazy gold with a decent sized white head. Aroma is of lemon, grain, and light hops. Taste is of grass and lemon. Wittales (884) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - JUN 19, 2013
Appearance was orange gold with cloudy lasting beige 3 finger head, rings of lacing. Aromas are bready yeasts, noble spicey hops, wheat, grain bill, sweet malt, no alcohol. Taste are soft lemon, orange and all spice, yeasts are bready, slight sweet pale malts, no alcohol. Palate was soft smooth creamy CO2 with medium body, lasting citrusy smooth funky finish. Strange mineral citrusy wonder. spacecube (1771) - Leeds, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - APR 21, 2013

Bottle from Vika enjoyed at home
Copper hazy, big beige head. Smells of peach, spice, green grass, yeast and malts. Moderate sweet, some fruityness and spice. Heavy bitter, resins and some grass. Strange beer, the hop combo is not working for me. It’s a bit too green, with green leaves and grass accompanied by the tomahawk resins.
