Bottle, 33 cl: Cloudy golden beer with a frothy, whote head. Floral, grassy aroma wih some malty notes of caramel and straw. Taste is very bitter. medium sweet with strong notes of resin, grass, pine and hints of citrus. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation and a very bitter, long and lingering finish. Very un-X-mas-like - and very lovable, too. charlotte (5522) - rødovre, DENMARK - NOV 11, 2011
Bottle. My X-mas beer no 12.2011.Bottle hazy orange colour with medium white head.Aroma is bitter hoppy and spicey, with hint of yeast and malt, less christmas but more like a normal Mikkeler ipa. phredrik (1024) - Copenhagen (formerly Aalborg), DENMARK - NOV 10, 2011
Bottle from ØlKonsortiet. Yellow pour with a frothy white head. Aroma is very hop forward, piney and citrusy, very zesty, lemon peel. Loads of hops, and the hop profile isn’t very complex. I only get citrus and pine. Same goes for the taste, where the pine and citrus dominates totally. Resinous. A very tasty beer, but one-sided. Also quite on the bitter end for IPA’s. Bottle. Pours a hazy straw yellow/amber with an off-white head. Decent lacing. Aroma is sweetish malt and pine hops. Flavour is a bit tart, sweet, malty, hoppy and bitter. Finish is quite bitter, but well-balanced. Faint notes of liquorice. Lingering dryness and grassy notes with a small alcohol burn. A bit too much carbonation. Overall pretty good, but not very x-massy. Didn’t notice any mistletoe (however that smells/tastes) which apparantly has been used. 05.11.11. madsberg (11866) - Søborg, DENMARK - NOV 3, 2011
Bottled. Golden coloured. UNclear. Dense frothy beige head. Lasting. Aroma of citrus, pine, caramel, light fruits, some herbs and flowers. Flaovour as well full of citrus, flowers, herbs, light grass, some caramel and pine. Nice and refreshing. Medium to full bodied. Has a citric and dry bitterness in the end. (bottled) Drank from my non braded inconspicious ’India Pale Ale’ jug; im digging this one right of the first 3 or 4 swigs. Kinda similar to SN Celebration and that’s the intention; Lots of fruity hops (grapefruit , orange zest, mandarin ) srupy caramel malt is eatern by spicy bitterness. jesperhammer (5067) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 29, 2011
A pretty slick number.
29-OCT-2011, bottle @home, from "Fish & Beer".
Lovely fluffy white head line whipped cream on hazy orange and golden body. Nose is grape fruit and pine. Taste is fruity, grape fruit and exotic fruits with loads of pine. Really bitter with a ni e touch of fruity and caramelly sweetness to balance. Medium body and carb. Meret x mas. Plovmand (8764) - Grindsted, DENMARK - OCT 22, 2011
Bottle. Pours hazy deep golden body with a big fluffy white head. The aroma is light soapy, piney, citric fruity and has notes of peach and passion fruit. Quite powerful flavour of pine, citrus, grape fruit, spruce, peaches and caramel. Some spicy notes. Rather bitter grape fruity finish. Good balance between sweetness and bitterness.
