European porter with a touch of chili. Chili is not too hot, just the right amount but still covers up just about everything else. JanLaursen (3226) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 3, 2012
Draft at Mikkeller Bar. Pitch black qith a beige head. Aroma of burned malts and grandmas dusty spice rack. Taste is light sweet and burned malty, a little smoke, chocolate and a dose of chili, that starts of smooth but evolves and becomes quite prominent in a long, lingering and quite bitter finsh. k0mpsa (3114) - Tuusula, FINLAND - DEC 10, 2013
Tap at mikkeller bar, san francisco. Black color, brown head. Strong aroma of roasted malts, spices, chili, coffee. Medium body, coffee, roasty, chilis burning in mouth. BOSSbrewer (2705) - Arkansas, USA - NOV 22, 2013
Had on tap at Max's in Baltimore. Pours dark brown. Lots of chocolate and roast in the nose. Hardly. Noticed any habanero which is good. Nice drinkable beer. Errl (2577) - Plano, Texas, USA - JUL 18, 2013
Tap- Dark pour with a nice tan head..Nose is nice roast, dark chocolate, spices, hop spice..Taste is chocolate, nice roast, bold bitter and dry palate, heat sneaks up the rear after it warms a tad..Mikkeller always has nice pepper beers

Pretty much a let-down. Habanero’s are one of the hottest peppers on the planet, and there was no heat in this beer at all. None. Zero. Zilch. A bitter chocolate/coffee-ish aroma, but VERY light. Flavor carries over the aroma with light chocolate/coffee combo, but it’s just...very blah. Not only did it fail as an Impy Stout, it failed as a beer called a Habanero Stout too.
Aroma: Smelling of soy sauce, dark coffee and burned rubber. dcschiller (2211) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JAN 22, 2013
Appearance: A black beer. A high brown head with good lacing and good curtains.
Taste: Tasting sweet dark bread, dark roasted coffee and cacao, a warm spicy chili finish.
Palate: Low carbonation, a soft, oily and sticky texture. A big body with a slight dry finish.
Overall: A tempting fiery sweet ale. All good!
Note: On-tap at a De Klomp tasting. Reviewed 2012-11-01.
On draught at Papago. Pours near black with a fluffy espresso head. Aroma is chocolate , berries and coffee. Taste is bittersweet with some roast and a touch of heat. Dry and lightly bitter. I was hoping for a little more heat, but its still pretty good. williamstome (2013) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 20, 2013
Black pour, small brown head. Not how I expected this one to look! Spicy chocolate aroma, Roasty chocolate flavor with light habanero bite. A bit thin.
