LoFi (1756) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 4, 2012
Draught at Mikkeller/To Øl week, Ölrepubliken.
Black with a dark brown head.
Aroma: coffee, cocoa powder, light aroma of hot chili.
Taste: hot chili, cocoa powder, coffee beans, light milk chocolate. The finish has considerable chili heat and chocolate coated coffee beans, and damn it is long.
Medium bodied.
A bit unbalanced, but I really liked it.

Tap. Pours opaque black with very minimal head. Aroma of spices and a campfire. Taste of smoked meats and roasted goodness.

Dark brown pour. Aroma is fruity sweet. Taste is stout followed by minor hamenero and a little pepper heat.

Tap at Mikkeller and friends. Blackish with a large foamy creamy Brown head leading lacings. Perfect. Aroma is quite complex and very interesting. Part stout, part candy, part asian food. Candied Apple, and toffee, Earth And dusty chilli. Funky sweet berry and Wild fermentation. I like. Chocolate malty flavor, adequate amount of chili, light bitterness and again that light spontan note. Very Nice

Draft. Pours black with a thick tan head. Aroma is hard roasted dark malts, dark chocolate, smoke, ash, chili, soy. Taste is moderate+ sweet and moderate bitter. Body is almost full, texture is smooth, carbonation is average. Finishes bitter with a nice chili burn in the throat.

Draft at På besök. (Labelled as a porter)
Pours black with a thick brown head.
Aroma has mostly roasted malt and chocolate
Taste has bitter roasted malt, cocoa powder, luxurious coffee and hot, fruity chilli, a slight alcohol burn chimes in with the habanero.
After taste is long and dry with a chilli heat that lingers on and on.
Thick mouth feel, low carbonation.
Well brewed chilli stout, I had expected the habanero to take more place but it’s well balanced in proportions to the other tastes.

Very very special. Real hot chili in the finish but still it is really à stout. Very brave and very impressive... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Packed full of flavour. Bitter chocolate with a pleasant spicy bite. Pretty balanced. Only area this falls short is with aroma. Tight. Can’t get much of anything.
