Aroma: Smelling of soy sauce, dark coffee and burned rubber.Adenila (1560) - DENMARK - APR 18, 2013
Appearance: A black beer. A high brown head with good lacing and good curtains.
Taste: Tasting sweet dark bread, dark roasted coffee and cacao, a warm spicy chili finish.
Palate: Low carbonation, a soft, oily and sticky texture. A big body with a slight dry finish.
Overall: A tempting fiery sweet ale. All good!
Note: On-tap at a De Klomp tasting. Reviewed 2012-11-01.
Tap at Mikkeller and friends. Blackish with a large foamy creamy Brown head leading lacings. Perfect. Aroma is quite complex and very interesting. Part stout, part candy, part asian food. Candied Apple, and toffee, Earth And dusty chilli. Funky sweet berry and Wild fermentation. I like. Chocolate malty flavor, adequate amount of chili, light bitterness and again that light spontan note. Very Nice

- black beer under a solid dark beige foam left; nice lacework; aroma of chili pepper, roasted malts and vanilla; full-bodied and pretty tasty; some sweetness soon toped by a solid sharpness; long lasting sharp finish; roasted with notes of chili, tar and chestnuts; pretty dry - very nice stuff !
Mostly a black color poured at Papago. Aroma of bitter chocolate, roasted malt and some spice from the peppers. The heat of the peppers is fairly muted and in the background just right. Lots of roasted malt and deep chocolate notes. Nice mouth feel. Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 29, 2012
Draft at MikkellerBAR. Pitch black - brown head. High burned malty. Light sweetness. Light smokey. Nice light chili. Chocolate. Nice malty. Not too much chili. Smooth body.

Amazing. Finally someone pulled off this gimmicky chile beer style. Pours black with good head and lacing. Aromas of dark chocolate, smoked malt. Consistency thick and oily. Bitter aftertaste with some spice - just enough to make it nice. Chile chocolate. Bitterness lasts for a while. Average carbonation. Tap at Taberna Lupulo. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - SEP 11, 2013
On tap. Black with a creamy light brown head. Dark chocolate, amber incense, and chili pepper aroma and taste with a roasted grain, smokey, and chili pepper heat to the finish. Thick creamy palate. Nice. Garlic_of_Doom (645) - SWEDEN - DEC 8, 2012
Draft at På besök. (Labelled as a porter)
Pours black with a thick brown head.
Aroma has mostly roasted malt and chocolate
Taste has bitter roasted malt, cocoa powder, luxurious coffee and hot, fruity chilli, a slight alcohol burn chimes in with the habanero.
After taste is long and dry with a chilli heat that lingers on and on.
Thick mouth feel, low carbonation.
Well brewed chilli stout, I had expected the habanero to take more place but it’s well balanced in proportions to the other tastes. shoulderbroken (4255) - Tokyo, JAPAN - JAN 10, 2013
Keg at Craft Clerkenwell. Thick and black with golden head. Aroma coffee, roast, smoke, spice. Taste bitter, roasty, spice, smoke. Not as spicy as I thought it might be. Nice though. Not as full on as Texas ranger. Spice increases at the end.
