great beer Vvornthal (6) - - DEC 16, 2016 does not count
Appearance: The beer is foggy, has medium white-yellow head that doesn’t dissapear too fast and not entirely. The lacing is good. Aroma: Extremely hoppy, there is a lot of really juicy citrus aromas and some floral notes. Malt is also present in the background. Alcohol is entirely hidden. Taste: The taste is balanced. Malty sweetness hits first, and then come the cirusy notes which turn to grapefruity-floral bitterness that is on a high level. Alcohol in the taste can be felt in warmth and slight pinching in the throat. This beer is very drinkable which with 8.9% abv makes it a silent killer. Bottle. Sensoric. Orange, medium hazy with three finger, semi-thick head with moderate lasting. Lacing is average. Aromas are some tropical fruits (mango) and citrus (oranges). Secondly some nicer peachy and fruity notes. Like in all beers from that series there is some malty "sweetness", almost honey-like. Taste is medium bitter, constant, broken by some semi-sweet malts, aftertaste is bitter. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, finish is semi-bitter and, citrus quite long lasting. In general good choice to drink to be familiar with the hops used. The ABV is well hidden, so it’s pretty dangerous. I’d say good style example.

Bottle at home. Aroma is resinous hops, juicy ripe fruits, tropical fruits, big pine resin, biscuity malt, peach, orange, some apricot. Flavour is medium sweet and bitter, slightly sticky. Body is above medium. Exquisite IIPA, tons of ripe fruits and pine resin, so damn rich, beer candy for me. thornecb (5997) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 1, 2016
Pours deep gold into a tulip. White head with excellent retention recedes to coat surface. Sour plum aromas. Thick with sweet hot caramel and nutty sourdough upfront turning to overripe fruit in the bitter earth finish. alex_leit (4840) - Minsk, BELARUS - AUG 29, 2016

Bottle at home. Hazy orange pour with a thin off-white head that gives way to a sticky lacing. Notes of orange zest, caramel, salt, pine resin. Bitter-sweet and dank, medium body and carbonation. Psytron (2426) - Turku, FINLAND - AUG 10, 2016
Smell of hops, tobacco. Muddy amber colour, very high beige head. Heavy aroma of hops, spruce, some tobacco, some alcohol. Very bitter, medium sweet. Flat carbon, medium sharp palate. Massively hoppy, but, it works.
