Bottle. Pour is clear copper with a thin white head. Aroma is resinous hop , caramel and cereal hop, and a touch of floral hop. Flavor is true to nose with resinous hop and caramel malt. This is probably my favorite brewer in the world, but foreign IPAS etc are rarely as good as they should be. Ratman197 (15094) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - MAR 18, 2012
500 ml bottle poured a clear orange amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness, grapefruit and pine. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a smooth finish. Flavors of carmel, earthiness, mint, light grapefruit and a hint of pine with a smooth lightly bitter finish. cubs (10651) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAR 12, 2012
Bottle @ home. This pours a fairly clear, light golden orange appearance with a two finger, off-white head. There’s a fairly floral, soapy hoppiness in the nose to go along with a toasty, bready maltiness. The flavor also a noted bready, toasty maltiness with an earthy, floral/light grapefruit hoppiness with a somewhat bitter, fairly toasty finish. Not bad though it is a little disappointing. jcr (2719) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - MAR 2, 2012
Bomber. Deep golden body with a frothy white head, slowly diminishing. Aroma of raw hops, toasted grain, caramel, citrus, grapefruit, perfume, grass. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Taste of orange peel, citrus, raw grain, perfume, flowers. Pine bitterness long into the finish. Lots going on in this IPA with the floral notes, bitterness, citrus, perfume. But it’s not working together.

22 oz. bottle, unusual size for anything from Mikkeller but I guess it was brewed at Drakes, from Wine and Cheese Place. Pours a clear copper-hued gold with a small white head. Aroma of caramel malts, leafy and citrusy hops, toast, grass, and crackers. Flavor of leafy hops, dry grains, caramel malts, floral notes, and grapefruit. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a dry mouthfeel. Solid IPA.

Strong pine and grass aromas coming out of the bottle. Pours a fairly light orangy yellow with a foamy white head. More grass and pine bitterness along with citrus pith and a dry, spicy bite in the flavor. Good lightly sweet malt backbone, but it’s there to support the powerful but well balanced and delicious hops. Definitely leaves behind a nice bitterness on the tongue and a fresh herbal aftertaste. Another killer IPA from Mikkeller. rmussman (1701) - California, USA - FEB 15, 2012
Sampled in the bomber. Pours orangish brown. Thin lacey head. Big time hops on this one. Really smooth and enjoyable. Malts are sweet and hops really linger. bb (9657) - Alamo, California, USA - FEB 13, 2012
Draft. Amber beer with a cream colored head. Pineapple and light passion fruit aroma. Pine and woodsy flavor. Medium bodied. Nice bitterness. Pine and woodsiness lingers with light earth and light grapefruit. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - FEB 12, 2012
Sample at triple rock sour Sunday . Golden orange pour. Sweet maltiness and pretty sizable hop presence in the aroma. Mostly sweet malts, tropical fruits and caramel. Malta overpower hops here, decent Strykzone (7482) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - FEB 6, 2012
Bomber. A slight haze in this honey colored beer. A two finger head of off white gentle bubbles. The aroma is citrus and caramel. It is not big but has a nice little bite to it. The first sip brings big bitterness with grapefruit and that remains in the aftertaste. Mid way through I begin to taste some tropical fruit and a bit of spice. The caramel builds towards the finish but the grapefruit takes over once again. This was good but not top shelf.
