UPDATED: JAN 6, 2013 650ml brown bottle. Dark orange, full of haze. Full whitish cap. Light clingy fiam. Nose has sweet citrus, bright grapefruit and some tropical fruits. Taste has caramel start, grapefruit middle, finishes lightly grainy and dry. Medium bitterness, grapefruits in the aftertaste. Medium body, good scrubbing carbonation. All around nice IPA. thedm (6319) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - JAN 1, 2013
This draft brew from a beer festival poured a small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized bubbles that were and left behind a softly carbonated transparent light red brown colored body and an excellent lacing. The mild aroma was hoppy. The semi-flat mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish. An OK brew just nothing special. wlajwl (7075) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - DEC 31, 2012
Aroma is citrus, yeast and biscuit malts. The flavor is grapefruit, citrus, a hint of tropical fruit, malts and a mix of tartness and bitterness in the finish.

Pretty solid little hopped up firecracker IPA with a resinous backbone and light toasted malts. Big grapefruit and citrus fruits, resinous, pepper and mild caramel. Not exactly balanced and a bit ripe, but definately a tasty hopped up brew. Ferris (16528) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 25, 2012
Bottle - Sweet hoppy pine and a bit of orange. Clear amber with a nice thick head. Lots of resin and bitterness, dry and an alcohol finish. Nice and thick on the palate. I find the bitterness and resin much too harsh and unbalanced. ben4321 (6739) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - DEC 16, 2012

Aroma: The nose is sweet and citrusy, lots of hops on first whiff, with some underlying cereal malts
Appearance: It pours a hazed orange color, fairly bright, with a bubbly off-white head, a drippy lace
Flavor: Fairly sweet, with a bitter punch, it has orange, grapefruit, some caramel, and cereal/grains
Palate: Medium body, has a creamy feel, is a touch sticky, with average carbonation, and a dry finish
This bottle doesn’t say anything about Drake’s or Against the Grain, it says "Brewed & Bottled by Mercury Brewing." The two descriptions of this beer are unclear, but since this bottle looks exactly like the one in the picture, and the editors note says "all rating should be entered here," I will just have to assume this is the correct location for this rating... As for the beer, this is a pretty interesting IPA, that leans toward to the sweet side for sure, but still has some graininess and a grapefruit-style bitterness to provide that IPA feel and some balance. I liked this beer.
Bottle. Pour is clear copper with a thin white head. Aroma is resinous hop , caramel and cereal hop, and a touch of floral hop. Flavor is true to nose with resinous hop and caramel malt. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - NOV 23, 2012
Bottle. Cloudy dark yellow with a fluffy white head. Sweet fruit, citrus, and cereal grain aroma and taste with a nice pear flavored sweetness upfront followed by a good earthy, dusty bitter bite, and finishing with sweet cereal grain flavors. Thick chewy palate. Well done.
