Pours amber with a big white head. Aroma is huge citrusy hops. Taste is much the same with a tea-like note. Could use a little more carb.

Strong, hoppy aroma has a firm fruity note, mainly citrus but with some pear and apple. Pours a slightly hazy coppery brown with a fairly thick and fine-bubbled buff head. Strongly hoppy flavor has woody, sour citrus and evergreen notes with a hint of caramel. Smooth, firm texture has a decent amount of fizz, and finish is quite hoppy and has both bitter and sweet undertones. Let this one invade your mouth! reebtogi (6385) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 20, 2012
350ml bomber pours a slightly hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger white head with good retention and nice lacing. Aroma is grapefruit and caramel with hints of other light fruits. Taste is a bold grapefruit bitterness with an underlying caramel malty sweetness that is well balanced. Medium bodied with good carbonation leaving a pleasant sensation on the palate. A bold and tasty IPA that is highly recommended. Damico (3150) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 15, 2012
Pours beautifully thick honey amber in color with a decent off white head. The aroma brings sweet malty notes, a bit of spicy bitterness. The flavor certainly has a malt base with some lightly bitter hops to end. The body is nice and full, my favorite part of the brew. VertBaconStrips (2402) - Blerkablerka, VENEZUELA - OCT 13, 2012
Well - this is a beautiful setting to enjoy a wonderful beer - on my trail, +9, wet and taking a break from my bike. Sitting amongst the mosses at the usual spot. Had a good taste and a good smell after half a bottle but noe its time to review after I pick out all the pine needles and such that fell for the tree above while I was taking pics. Thick looking medium amber mess with a plushy lightly tan head. Unfortunately the aroma is weak in this setting and glass - orange - sweet non-fake orange, soft caramel, there was more but that was half an hour ago. Still tasting good despite the fly that was treading in the head. Heavy in the citrus with some peppery power. Grapefruit harshness, pine, orange, no too complex but ultra yummy - knowing that I got a bunch of Hop Stoopid at home I am trying to keep my expectations in check. Light melon touch as well. Highly rewarding and freshening with a shit load of bitterness that I know would give me a hard in if I hadn’t had my legs crossed for the last 45 mins. Tasty goodness throughout.

In short: a doughy sweet-ish citrusy IPA. Okkeepersj12 (3137) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - SEP 13, 2012
How: Bottle 22oz. Consumed approximately one month after purchase
The look: Cloudy orange-blonde body topped by a medium white head with medium retention
In long: Nose is typical citrusy hops (grapefruits, apricotsm etc,) with also some kind of alcohol-caramel-dessert thing. Taste is crunchy toasted malts, strong yeast presence, a bit doughy, sweet citrus fruits (oranges, apricots, grapefruits), medium bitterness, resinous character. Alcohol a bit apparent and it is only 7%. Long sweet sticky resinous citrusy after-taste. Very nourishing and a bit on the sweet side. All in all an average IPA with no brewing problem, but a 7% citrusy IPA should be sessionable, and this one wasn’t. A bit disappointing coming from Mikkeller, for this beer Mikkeller should have contracted a german brewery, those guys know how a thing or two about how to put together a successful Invasion.
Nice one. Has a malty aroma with bread, some caramel and a bit of grass. The hops come along in the taste. Nice malt start, quite sweet giving way to the fruity, citrusy hops. Nice dry finish. BeerSquare (117) - - SEP 9, 2012
Probably my favorite Mikkeller yet-- although it is impressively bitter through the finish, I was surprised this one actually isn’t as brutal on the taste buds as some of their darker offerings.
Not a complex hop profile, just a nice citrus pine, but an exceptional balance with the carmely malt notes is what made it great for me.
Also love where this is in the abv department-- would have been tempting to push this into "Double" terrirtory, but I like it as a strong regular IPA. Good stuff. jkwood04 (5463) - Connecticut, USA - SEP 2, 2012
500ml bottle in a tulip. Pours deep amber with a lacy, cream-colored head. Aroma of citrusy and piney hops plus a good amount of caramel malts. Flavor the same, like a good IPA should be. Average texture. A pretty good IPA. morganmaher (22) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 22, 2012
Pours pretty. Aromas intriguing with citrus, pine and hints of grass? Taste doesn’t quite follow through though. The malt sweetness and the hops don’t quite blend. I tasted sweet in the begining, but completely bitter on the finish. Over priced, still waiting to see what the big fuss is about these guys.
