22oz bottle, shared with friends. Nice, off-white foamy and persisting head. Mostly hazy amber color. Good, dry texture. Good lace. Lighgter carbonation. Very nice, big fruity tropical hop aromas. Good bitter taste, light sweet. Significant malt, but it’s balanced out by the big fruity hops. Very tasty IPA, enough flavor for to pass as a DIPA. Friends liked this a lot. On tap. Against The Grain version. Pours an almost clear deep, dark amber with an off-white head. Intense but also somewhat greasy and herbal hop aroma. Medium-bodied, lightly sweet fruit and caramel before distinct citrusy hops leaving a bitter finish. Straight, there’s nothing wrong with it but it’s simply not all that thrilling. Mikkeller has made a lot of better IPA’s at De Proef! 070412 VRBJG (159) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - APR 7, 2012
A very nice brew of course. I prefer the Stateside IPA to this. There are subtle difference between the two. This one it a tad less matly. beerguy101 (5360) - Newark, California, USA - APR 6, 2012
Sampled on 3/9/2012. This Imperial IPA pours a medium orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, orange, citrus and piney hops. A medium to full bodied Imperial IPA. The malts are fruity, caramel and sweet. The hops are citrusy and piney with a touch of grapefruit. A medium bitter double IPA. Decent carbonation
A nice hoppy IPA. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Shared over at James place. Definitely over aged even though I just recently purchased it. Clear golden pour with massive near white head. Good bitterness, but not much else. Lingering thin oily bitterness on palate. Meh.

From tap at MikkellerBar. Drakes version is hazy golden deep yellow while the against the grain version is dark orange, clearer too. Both with a small white head. Aroma is orange fruity, crisp citrusy. Drakes version is more grapefruity and light cornish / malty. Bitter, toasted malt base in the Drakes version, also pine hoppy notes. Grain version is more crisp citrusy. Bitter and lasting citrusy finish. Lasting malty too for the Drakes version. Quite different. I prefer the Against the Grain version. joergen (27983) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 5, 2012

Hazy orange coloured with a small white head.
Sweet and fruity aroma of caramel, bread and hops with notes of pine needles.
Sweet and fruity flavour of caramel, hops, grass and grape fruits.
Dry hoppy finish. douglas88 (9057) - Portland, Oregon, USA - APR 3, 2012
Bomber from the Best Damn Beer Store. Pours a clear amber color with a small white head. A light biscuit and hop nose. The flavor is nice; sweet fruit, apricots, lemon, zesty, toast, caramel, more lingering bitter lemon. Nice. Simple. 17thfloor (2443) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 2, 2012
Interesting. Very Mikkeller. A bit oxidized. Love the dry pine and super easy to drink body, flavors scream Mikkeller, alcohol well hidden, fairly bitter, put this in six packs at $11.99 and I’m in. Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 25, 2012
Bottle in Hotel Room, Brooklyn. Clear golden/amber - white head. Nice fresh hoppy, ok bitterness, grassy, citrus, dry bitterness, grape fruits, light malty sweetness, piney, light spruce, light hashish freshness. Nice bitter finish.
