Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is honey, earth and also has some hints of yeast in it. Flavour is honey, earth, mild spicyness as well as some hints of flowery hops and yeast. Nice and refreshing.
Draught at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. Lightly hazy golden, brief head. yeasty orangey nose with Brett and hay. Dryish and light bodied, vital and never this. Floral with spicy hops and grain, quite bitter finish. A very drinkable and balanced beer - atypical for the current extreme brewing scene in Denmark. Vert pleasant - something I’d like to see more of! Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 12, 2008
(On tap) Pours an almost clear golden with a creamy, white head leaving laces. Very fresh aroma of citrus and distinct Brett. Light-bodied, dry as a bone and also lots of Brett in the flavour that also has a discreet fruitiness. The finish is dry, lightly tart and only discreetly bitter. An Orval for beginners - extremely quenching and quaffable. 120908 madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - FEB 14, 2010
3rd December 2008. Cloudy gold beer - thin white head. Packed full of flavour for a low abv beer! An initial crisp bit with a carawayish undertone leads to a bitterish orange and grapefruit. Crips and refreshing and highly drinkable. Travlr (24781) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUL 19, 2009
Bright orange with white head. Spice and citrus aroma, flavor of cardamon and orange peel. Bitter finish. Decent.
