COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This version of the Itís Alive has the mango to give it that sweet fruity tropical fruit taste, while the Chardonnay barrel aging gives it a vineous character. Brett gives the tartness. Complex beer Ė it is very much alive!

Bottle 375ml. @ [ Craig and Fin Sneak up in the middle of the NIGHT and drink all fonefans beer ].

Clear medium yellow - amber orange colour with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, moderate to light heavy yeasty, barnyard, leather, funky, mango notes. Flavour is light heavy sweet and light to light moderate acidic with a long duration, mango, fruity, funky, brett, dry white wine notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Light wooden, dry malty, smooth citrusy fruity and wineous. Light tannin note. Leathery dry bretty. Smooth citrusy and crisp lingering fruity finish.

Lightly hazy amber beer with a tidy cream coloured head. Palate is light, crisp and semi dry. Minerals. Light white wine and a touch of sourness. A little creamy malt in the mid. Mildly bitter seltzer minerals. Subtle mango before the minerally dry finish. Bitter minerally aftertaste.

Bottle courtesy of MrChopin, thank you sir! Bright clear golden color, fluffy cream colored head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of brandied tropical fruit, dusty lemons. Taste is dusty tangerine, lemon, pineapple skins. Tasty.

UPDATED: NOV 5, 2013 Keg at Mikkeller & Friends one night post-CBC in 2013. Pours cloudy gold with a white foam head. Juicy citrus aroma with bits of grapefruit. Sweet flavor with ripe citrus fruits. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Vaguely funky to finish but with mostly just sweet, juicy ripe citrus. Very good. Tasty. (3.8)

Draft during the Mikkeller Tap Takeover at King William IV - London. Pours clear amber with a strong, off-white head. Ripe fruits in the nose, grapes and berries mostly. Medium sweet flavor with some alcohol presence, light wood, dried fruits and hints of buttery bread. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation and a creamy texture. Moderately warming to finish with light dry wood, semi-dry berries and hints of bitter leaves. Decent.

Hazy amber color with compact head. Vinous aroma, grapes with light hazelnuts. Smooth mouthfeel; there is some acidity, fruitiness, wood, astringency; medium to strong bitterness.
Not a bad beer, but altogether itís not cohesive.
