English: It’s Alive!!! Indeed it is. This Belgian Ale has been aged on White Wine barrels to give it that touch of alcohol, while the Brettanomyces give the tartness. Complex but well balanced beer.

Bottle. Pours a murky light bronze with smallish cream coloured head. Falls away very quickly to all but the smallist film. Aromas of earthy bready malt, oak, orange juice, white wine and some acidity. Enjoy this. Flavours are quite white wine like. Slightly harsh acidity and dry finish. thin to medium mouthfeel. Quite like this.

375ml dark green bottle, 8% abv., with a silver neck, bought at Ølbutikken. Noisy pour revealing a close to clear amber coloured body, hazy last pour. Beige head with fine retention, rings of lacing to the glass. Aromatics with dry and tart fruits. Blended flavour of mild tart and sweet fruits. Rounded tartness to the ending. Very dry in the mouth. Vinous impression. Different and quite refreshing (hotel room, Copenhagen 09.05.2012).

(Bottle) Pours dark copper with an off-white head. The aroma holds moldy/barnyardy brett, white wine/grapes, tart tropical fruits, lots of bread, some sugar and old cheesy/grassy hops. Hints of green strawberries, Thai spices, candi sugar, phenols, sour candy and citrus acid. The flavour is light sweet to dry, light to medium acidic and tiny acidic with notes of white wine, mild brett, woodsy citrus, wood and a touch of hops. The mouthfeel is tight and tart with a medium carbonation. Citrus, wood, breath, light phenols and a whisper of grass on the finish. Near medium bodied.

05/01/2012 Brasserie 4:20 (375ml bottle). Corpo medio-basso, carbonazione soft. Sorprendente.

37,5 cl Bottle@ home. Dark amber to light brown coloured beer with lots of carbonation and a medium but diminishing off white head. Sour and nicely fruity infused aroma. Full palate. Finish is sour sweet and fruity balanced with some spicy slight alcoholic hints. Not bad.

PhillyCraft (6777) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 10, 2012
On Tap last year, I have tried this out of the bottle and now on tap, and I still get the same weak tasting notes from it. Dark, boring amber pour, minimal head, not much lacing, aromas of coffee, oak, lavender, taste is filled with weird nutty flavors, wood, stale or non-existant brett. Very Flat. This is def not mikkellers best showing and I found myself not being able to finish a 12 oz glass.

Pours a hazy and copper beer with a white head. The aroma is malt, fruit, brett, white wine and wood. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is dry with sweetness. Overall a really good beer.

On tap. Pours a deep orange golden color with a big fluffy white head. Aroma is malty with defined notes of red wine. Nothing really complex nor sour. Taste is similar: malty, boozy, winey. Not really sour. It just has some funkyness typical of white wines. Short sweetish finish. Mouthfell is medium to full with good carbonation. Overall, not really a sour ale in the literal sense. But it definitely reminds of.wine, mostly white wine.
