Danish: En vild belgisk ale brygget på: vand, malt (pale og cara), lys kandis, humle (hallertau og styrian golding), gær og brettanomyces. Lagret 7 måneder på hvidvinsfade.

English: It’s Alive!!! Indeed it is. This Belgian Ale has been aged on White Wine barrels to give it that touch of alcohol, while the Brettanomyces give the tartness. Complex but well balanced beer.

37,5c bottle at home. Deep orange hazy colour, big lively off-white head. Complex aroma, definitely bretty, earthy, malty and nuanced white wine tones. Taste too is very complex with the mentioned tones, rounded tardness with green apple and vinegar, more defined white wine notes, cask on a bed of soft and creamy malts. Medium carbonation, dry mouthfeel, good body. Unlike anything I ever tasted before, very nice.

On tap at Mikkeller’s Øl & Brød, paired with a dish of rare-cooked beef in plum and madeira wine sauce. Unclear amber, white head. Aroma of citrus, taste is sour, very round, fantastic.

bottle sample from the well-stocked beergeek stalal at slunce ve skle 2013. hazy orange with a thin wispy head; aroma of old barn, deodorant armpit and lemon menthol; effervescent body; true to its name - fresh and lively with hints of lemon and cider vinegar with an agreeably woody funk in the finish

Thanks to Boutip for this. Pours a reddish brown with a frothy off white top. Aroma is tart cherry, oak and yeast. Taste is light tartness, sweetness from the brett. Oak dryness with the yeast and white wine characteristics. Really splendid beer.

Enjoyed on tap at Mikkeller & Friends in Copenhagen, DK. Appearance a moderately dark ruby amber with a thin white rim.  Aroma is very floral with nice peppery notes, light grape, overall very nice.  Taste is great, light sour notes, dry finish, kind of packs a punch, very good.

Sample at De Bierkoning, from a 37.5cl Bottle. Clear amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of lots of Brettanomyces funk, almost salty, some caramel or kandij, light fruity. Flavour is quite sweet at first, sweet white wine, light funky, hint of tartness, light salty, oak, decent bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Lots of Orval reminders here. Nice.

Poured from a 375ml bottle into a wine glass. Unknown bottle date Nose: grapes, apple cider, slight cider vinegar, tons of funk; socks. Lots of cardboard in the nose Appearance: very hazy amber. Little clarity at all to this. Cream colored head bordering on brown that doesn't go away. Taste: dry white wine - grapes, apricots, spices, almost a cinnamon note. Little bit of almost sour brown sugar to it - not sweet but has the dark sugar note. Sour apple. Lingering funkiness in the finish. Lots of socks and Brett funk the whole time. Palate: pretty thin, very tight carbonation. Almost like a mineral water type carbonation. Not a ton of body. Overall: hard to say on this beer without a bottle date. Estimates put it around two years old at most, probably at least a year. Was hoping for more tart to this but presumably the Brett has gone wild here. Not bad though, just not what I had hoped for

Bottle to tulip Aroma of lemon, wine, and a touch of funk with a candyish aroma in the background. It’s an almost clear reddish amber with a mottled tan and white frothy head with lots of lacing. Taste is a Bretty sourness with an apple sauce and grape kind of sweetness along with a load of funk.
