Brewed by Mikkeller at De Proefbrouwerij in Lochristi, Belgium.

It’s Alive! is Mikkellers answer and tribute to the trappist beer Orval. It’s Alive is an easy-to-drink beer, with a lot of hops. The color is amber, the foam is high, white and dense. The potent Brettanomyces culture makes It’s Alive continue to develop in the bottle.
Ingredients : Water, malt (pale and cara), light candy, hops (hallertauer and styrian goldings), yeast and brettanomyces.

the aroma is malty and fruity with hints of apple, toffee and some spices... the taste is fruity and malty with notes of bisquit, apple, toffee and citrus... bright hoppiness... sweet, bitter and dry aftertaste...

UPDATED: OCT 10, 2015 Bottle. Amber color with huge steady head. Aroma is similar to belgian trappistes: some dry fruits, some vanilla, some apple. Complex aroma. Taste with some sour notes with nice load of hops. Finish is long. Very nice tribute to belgian trappistes.

Bottle. In taste is quiet wild, with some sourness. In aroam mostly wild notes. Big, but unstable white head.

Eructoblaster (4205) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 20, 2015
Bottle - 330ml. Hazy copper body with an average off-white foamy head. Lovely fresh malty/hoppy aroma with herbal, citrusy, grainy, and kiwi hints. Alcohol is well hidden. Its well balanced malty/hoppy taste carries herbal and citrusy notes. Ends with a long, dry bitter/herbal finish. Very interesting.

Bottle, 75cl. Fruity citrus aroma with a deep sourness. Medium bodied with moderate to fizzy carbonation. Dry and astringent, with a stinging herbal bitter finish. Unorthodox and very bitter.

jercraigs (10374) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 10, 2015
UPDATED: SEP 11, 2015 2015-09-09. Very lightly hazy dark amber body, good sized beige head. 4+ Aroma is lightly musty and fruity, fairly subtle. Whisper of caramel and something that is not quite marshmallow like. 7+ Flavour is similarly nuanced, lightly musty and funky, malt base has light biscuity accents. Fairly bitter throughout, bitterness lingers in the finish. Average plus bodied palate, good carbonation. 3++ You can feel the Orval inspiration here in the hops and light funk, but the overall impression is much maltier than Orval. Quite tasty. Bottle shared by Ferris.

Bottle - Soured malts and light ketchup. Clear gold with a decent beige head. Light tartness, yeasty notes and a funky finish. Odd but OK.
