Can, pours clearish golden with small white head. This one had too much honey sweetness for me. Honey almond flax seed with other grains and toasted malt.

Color dorado claro, translcido, con capa de espuma blanca de dos dedos de grosor (muy buena retencin). Carbonatacin media tirando a baja. Aroma a ctrico y pino (este ltimo muy remarcado). Sabor ctrico primero, luego resinoso, con mucho amargor (y muy placentero) al final. Gran cerveza pero... no es una Pilsner ni por asomo. Ms bien una IPA.

355ml can pours a slightly hazy golden orange color with a finger and a half of white head that leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is citrus and pine with some grains. Taste is a citrus and pine hop bitterness with a malty sweetness. Light grainy mouth feel. Light to medium bodied with decent carbonation. Overall, this is not quite a good representation of the pilsner style, but a great tasting brew. Recommended.

Can @ Malin & Daniels wedding. Hoppy and drinkable pils with notes of citrus, orange cest and grains. Nice smooth mouthfeel.

Quite a deep amber Pilsner but Im drinking by candlelight so that could be it. The nose is pure dry hop, like a face full of fuggle. Then the malt hits in the mouth with a long sweetness. It has almost too much. This whole thing seems a little under attenuated.

The "American" aspect of this American Pils is its higher hop bill, and that makes it a Keeper indeed. Clear golden pour. Dank hop aroma. Hop-forward taste with earth and some zesty citrus. Quite a bit of bitterness and dryness at the finish. Just what I like from a Pils.

Small vibrant of sweet malts with hints of lemon zest to finish the scent off. Golden in color with one finger white head that lasts a bit spotty lacing. Sweet lemon taste starts this brew off with a decent bite in the middle then a sweet smooth malt finish. Light body with super sparkly carbonation. Nice complexity for a pilsner love the taste and carbonation. Great job!

Type: 12-oz. can Glass: Clear half-dinner glass? From: Whole Foods in Manhattan Beach, Calif. Price: $2.69 Purchased: July 30, 2016 Consumed: Aug. 2, 2016 Reviewed as: American Pale Lager Misc.: Could not read the can on date, but did see the time (1:08 p.m. ET); Brewed and canned by Sly Fox Ive seen a few Mikkeller beers in stores lately and decided to pick this one up at Whole Foods in Manhattan Beach. Did not know the price until I saw it pop up on the screen and not sure I would have bought it had I known the price ahead of time. Realized when I got back that American Pilsner (which is on the can) is not a style yet on Beer Advocate. So I guess Ill go with American Pale Lager like BA has it now. Poured a medium, yellow, clear color with 3-to-4 fingers of rocky, white head. Lots of bubble streams coming up from the bottom of the glass. Very good foamy spotty lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.25) Had a lot of different smells coming in here. Its like when a Pilsner meets an American India Lager. I guess an American Pale Lager makes sense. Got corn cereal, sourdough bread, grassy notes, hay, white cracker, grain, Cascade hops and hints of citrus notes. (Smell - 3.50) Taste pretty much followed the nose, for good or for bad. Really seems like the Pilsner notes and hoppy notes were battling each other with neither coming out on top and just coming out with a messy outcome. Got citrus zest, Cascade hops, grass, herbal notes, mowed hay, cereal and sourdough bread. (Taste - 3.50) Light body. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Abrupt, watery finish. (Feel - 3.75) This was a little better than I thought it would be after quickly glancing at the BA ratings. Still not good enough to want to have again on purpose though. (Overall - 3.50) 3.57 81 B
