Can. A slightly hazy amber pour with a thick and fluffy beige head. The pleasant aroma features an uncharacteristically high amount of freshly cut grass, zesty citrus rinds, tangy orange juice, and grapefruits in addition to the typical-for-the-style wheaty graininess. Thin to medium-bodied and crisp on the way down. The taste starts with a little caramel and a wheaty graininess. Doughy. Grassy. Zesty citrus rinds and some bitter grapefruits finish things off. Lemony. Kinda resiny/oily with some pine. A great beer, especially for the style.

Can at the November DC Gathering. Poured a cloudy golden color with a small white head. Aroma was light lemon, yeast notes. Flavor was light sweet notes. Actually very refreshing and not a malt bomb like so many of these can be.

Can. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain), moderately hoppy (grapefruit, resin), with a strong note of diacetyl, lighter note of DMS. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately to heavily bitter, slightly unclean. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Wow, I figured Sly Fox would a safe brewer for a pils; I used to love Pikeland Pils, although I dont know if its any good anymore. This one here is a butter bomb, and has some vegetable juice as well...and even though the hops are prominent too, theyre the raw resinous-grapefruit pith kind. Harsh bitterness and a not-so-clean aftertaste makes the drinking experience unpleasant too. A big disappointment.
