Bottled (PapsKøssed, thanks!). Very deep ambery brown colour, close to black, huge beige foamy/creamy longlasting head that leaves lace. Aroma is rather fruity and floral bitter hops along with mild liquorice and toffee. Flavour is bitter fruity and floral notes with mild liquorice and some slight yeastyness as well. Pleasantly balanced Black IPA. Elwood (3347) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - JUN 12, 2012
I got kossed by Papsoe with this 330 ml. bottle. Thanks H! It pours a murky dark brown with a large tan head. The nose has a bit of light pine and anise. The flavor has some pumpernickel, rye, anise, and that pine note. A little maltier than most of the black IPAs I’ve tried, but I like it. It seems to move it a hair closer to a porter and that’s okay with me. Delightfully different. Rune (13510) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JUN 1, 2012
We were køssed like this during the Absalon tasting session, second day. 330ml bottle bought at Kihoskh and shared with Skinnyviking and KnutAlbert. Beige head that laces well. Coal black body. Smell of ashes, mid-sweet dark malts and liquorice. Fine flavour ingredients of grainy malts, caramel, liquorice with a backdrop of juicy malts. Malt-fruity endnotes with nice bitterness. A gently made black IPA (Copenhagen, hotel room 13.05.2012). kappldav123 (6133) - GERMANY - MAY 30, 2012
Bottle looks interesting. Beer in the glass deep black, nice head. Dry-hoppy aroma. Starts the same, dry and hoppy. Modest bitter. Some fruity hints. Finish more and more stout-like, less dry, intense malty. Quite drinkable. Nice!

No I have not. Bottle from the Kioskh of all Kioskhs. Big foamy light choco colored head. Body is dark brown with limited clarity. Grassy and light fruity hop nose, offset by some dryish powdery cocoa malt notes. Niclely roasted dark malt flavor profile. Tarry notes and hint of bitter coffee. A bold bitterness underneath. Fruity, resiny with some fine floral tones. Almost full. Nice juicy texture. Finishes just as roasty and fruity-bitter as I hoped. Now I’ve been Køssed! _angst_ (5008) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 21, 2012
Bottle @ The Rover. Pours very dark brown, almost black, with a big frothy beige head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of lacing on the glass. Smell is tiny sweet with roasted malts, wood, liquorice root, lemon balm, orange peal, dill, coffee, burnt caramel and hints f grapefruit juice and overripe lemons. Taste is sweet and bitter with roasted malts, wood, bitter chocolate, pine, sweetened coffee, grapefruit juice, lemon zest, resin, liquorice fudge and hints of sheet metal. Mouthfeel is smooth, tiny dry, slightly oily bitter and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with roasted malts, pine, coffee and orange peal. Bottle courtesy of phredrik, thanks! Almost black, huge brown head, good retention. Nice pine aroma. Taste is dark cocoa powder, burnt coffee. Nice. GT (10017) - San Diego, California, USA - MAY 14, 2012
330mL thanks to phredrik. Drank this in the middle of the road with some homeless people. Clear maroon pour with higher carbonation. Sheets of lace. Huge retention. Sticky malt nose with toffee and candies. Cheesy hops. Estery notes. A little dirty. Taste is bread, Irish oatmeal, roast, coffee, biscuit. Grapefruit, pith, pine, sap, resin. Lactic acid. Astringent maltiness. Some dirt, earth, and alcoholic heat. Mildly boozy. Skinnyviking (9720) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 13, 2012
Courtesy of Rune. Bottle. Off-white high lasting creamy head. Very dark brown amost black body. Roasted malt coffee aroma with a nice hops bitterness, low carbonation and a long bitter aftertaste. Alcohol well hidden by the bitterness.
