33 cl bottle @ hotel room in Copenhagen. BBE 25.01.2014.GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - MAY 14, 2012
Pours dark red, almost black color with medium beige head. Aroma of fruits, hops, toasted malts and lemon. Flavor of lemon, hoppy fruits, toasted malts and some sweet berryish notes. Quite nice and fruity brew.
330mL thanks to phredrik. Drank this in the middle of the road with some homeless people. Clear maroon pour with higher carbonation. Sheets of lace. Huge retention. Sticky malt nose with toffee and candies. Cheesy hops. Estery notes. A little dirty. Taste is bread, Irish oatmeal, roast, coffee, biscuit. Grapefruit, pith, pine, sap, resin. Lactic acid. Astringent maltiness. Some dirt, earth, and alcoholic heat. Mildly boozy. Skinnyviking (9569) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 13, 2012
Courtesy of Rune. Bottle. Off-white high lasting creamy head. Very dark brown amost black body. Roasted malt coffee aroma with a nice hops bitterness, low carbonation and a long bitter aftertaste. Alcohol well hidden by the bitterness. gyllenbock (9156) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 23, 2012
Bottle bought in Copenhagen, June 2012.
Darker brown with a medium head. I think that this beer was nicely balanced, hops and roasted malt. Also chocolate and some dark chocolate. Pleasant, dry and bitter finish.

(Bottle, Bishop’s Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm) Black colour with lasting, frothy, beige head. Malty, hoppy nose with dark chocolate, liquorice, pine needles and dark rye bread. Malty, fruity taste with notes of roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, dried fruit, liquorice and a piney bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. The expected piney bitterness is nicely balanced by a slightly surprising sweetish liquorice and malt character. Well balanced and really nice.

Aroma has hops with exotic fruits and no roastiness at all. Also some resin. Flavour is ashy with roastiness, some vanilla, strawberries and hops. A bit too ashy but good anyway.
330 ml bottle.larsga (7539) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 4, 2013
Pours a pitch black colour with a thick white head. Aroma of strong, juicy and sweet fruits with floral hops. Flavour of roasted malts, strong floral hops, sweet juicy fruits, strawberries and wood. Full bodied, thick mouthfeel and a long, bitter and roasty finish with juicy fruits. Probably the most fruity black IPA I’ve tasted so far. Great stuff.
Big brown head. Opaque black body goes hazy deep dark brown at
edges, through wich strong, fast carbonation can be spotted.
Roasty earthy wine grape aroma with resiny spicy notes.
Dry-sweetish resiny roasty spicy taste with earthy licorice
notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry resiny chocolatey
earthy aftertaste with spicy grapefruit notes. Nice, harmonic,
drinkable. Fits well into the growing group of successful Danish
black IPAs. (0.33l bottle, from Kihoskh, Copenhagen.) tiong (7263) - Espoo, FINLAND - MAY 11, 2012
330ml bottle from Kihoskholsvammel (7220) - Örebro, SWEDEN - OCT 19, 2012
Pours pitch black with a smooth white head. Nice aroma of fruits, grassy hops, pine, lemon and roasty malts. Taste is very fruity and slightly roasty with a lot of berries, fruits and lemony notes. Finish is slightly roasty and bitter with fruity hops. Nice, well balanced, fruity Black IPA.
On tap at Bishops Arms in Örebro. Fruity and hoppy smell with grapefruit, pine and citrus. Similar taste with some caramel malts and chocolate. Nice BIPA.
