Very dark brwon. Bittersweet. Liquorice, quite herbal. Pleasant beer, but does not really take off. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 14, 2012
Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of humlelala/MetteLassen. Pours a murky, opaque dark brown bordering black with a dense and creamy beige head leaving some lacework. Citrusy hops on a bed of chocolatey malts. Medium body, velvety mouthfeel, carbonation is a little low, again lots of cocoa/chocolate with a distinct bitterness. 33cl bottle from Kihoskh. Pours very dark, almost black with a nice beige head. Hoppy aroma with grapefruit, some tropical fruits and also roasted malt and hints of chocolate, coffee and caramel. Hops dominate at first but the darker aromas presents themselves after a while. Alcohol is well integrated. Surprisingly light body. Light to medium sweet with medium bitterness. Hoppy, bitter finish with hints of alcohol and roasted malt. Quite nice and surprisingly easy to drink. Nice BIPA! brnandersen (3900) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 28, 2012

Courtesy of Rune. Bottle. Off-white high lasting creamy head. Very dark brown amost black body. Roasted malt coffee aroma with a nice hops bitterness, low carbonation and a long bitter aftertaste. Alcohol well hidden by the bitterness. Elwood (3336) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - JUN 12, 2012
I got kossed by Papsoe with this 330 ml. bottle. Thanks H! It pours a murky dark brown with a large tan head. The nose has a bit of light pine and anise. The flavor has some pumpernickel, rye, anise, and that pine note. A little maltier than most of the black IPAs I’ve tried, but I like it. It seems to move it a hair closer to a porter and that’s okay with me. Delightfully different. JanLaursen (3227) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - SEP 12, 2012
Bottle, 33 cl. Unclear brown with an orange hue and a frothy beige head. Fruity aroma of grapefruit, peachs and tropical fruits. Some biscuity notes too. Flavor is sweet malty, some roasty notes with hints of licorice and cocoa dancing tete a tete with a heavy dose of fruity and light grassy hops. Dry bitter finish, easy drinkable.
