Oo this is good stuff. Poured from the bottle a nice dark color, with an off white head. Aroma is a very, suprisingly, pleasant combination of hops and roastyness. One of the better black ipas ive had in a while.

phredrik (1024) - Copenhagen (formerly Aalborg), DENMARK - MAY 9, 2012
Bottle from Kihoskh. Pours dark brown with an enormous head, I guess because of the white platic cups. Aroma is very hop forward with citrus and pineapple, roasted malt presence with chocolate and coffee. Piney notes and zesty grapefruit also. Taste has sweet fruity hoppy notes, oranges and mango, a good deal of bitter coffee notes, a hint of chocolate. Very bitter on the palate. Good black IPA.

Bottle 330ml.

Unclear matt dark red brown colour with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, moderate to heavy hoppy, flowers, citrus, light licorice. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, syrup sweet, hoppy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120411]

Opaque dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is crisp and a little dry. Soft creamy dark malts, touch of roast. Develops a crispy edge. Mild piney hops provide a lightness. Dry finish. Easy going and effortlessly drinkable.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of humlelala/MetteLassen. Pours a murky, opaque dark brown bordering black with a dense and creamy beige head leaving some lacework. Citrusy hops on a bed of chocolatey malts. Medium body, velvety mouthfeel, carbonation is a little low, again lots of cocoa/chocolate with a distinct bitterness. Very easy going and smooth. 140312

33cl bottle from Kihoskh. Pours very dark, almost black with a nice beige head. Hoppy aroma with grapefruit, some tropical fruits and also roasted malt and hints of chocolate, coffee and caramel. Hops dominate at first but the darker aromas presents themselves after a while. Alcohol is well integrated. Surprisingly light body. Light to medium sweet with medium bitterness. Hoppy, bitter finish with hints of alcohol and roasted malt. Quite nice and surprisingly easy to drink. Nice BIPA!

mile (4067) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 12, 2012
Bottle. Dark amber, average and mostly lasting head. Moderate malty and sweetish aroma, light caramel and roasted malt with light tropical fruitiness, piney - some grapefruit hoppynes. Body is medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, some caramel and light roasted malt, light tropical fruitiness, piney - citrus hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, light caramel and roasted malt, piney - some citrus hoppyness. Nice one - could be drier/have less caramel, though.
