Clear dark brown black colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is light heavy malty, roasted, cacao, chocolate, spicy, chiili, herbs, dusty. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
From tap at MikkellerBar. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is smooth fruity hoppy, toasted dark malty, chocolate, bitter and smooth fruity. Light chli bite int the finish. Rather hoppy and more like a black ipa than a spice/herb/vegetable. Vague smoked touch too. Ungstrup (37619) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - APR 18, 2012

Bottled at Bishop’s Arms Folkungagatan. Hazy dark brown, mid sized head. Caramel and jalapeno. Sweet with medium body and roiunded mouthfeel. Jalapeno and fudge. Balanced heat. Well made. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 8, 2012
On tap. Pours an opaque black with a dense and creamy light brown head. Very fresh roasty nose with very subdued imprints of the massive array of spices. Medium body, great and chewy roastiness, slightly sweet with a vanilla whiff. Has a distinct malt bitter finish. Very high drinkability in this one. Basically just a very, very good Porter - all the hip ingredients are very subdued which to me is quite good news. 070412 madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - FEB 24, 2013

Thanks to Ben H for this and then another from Papsoe. Dark brown beer, small tan head. Palate is very slightly viscous with fine carbonation, a little dry. Rich dark malts, dry. Unsweet dark chocolate and a little coffee.Minty lime sort of thing going on but slightly vegetal. Dry finish with malt cream and a lingering malt aftertaste and a trace of hop. Another inventive and enjoyable beer from Mikkeller.
bottle at home ... thanks ben ... deep black ... thin tan head ... light cola .. big spice ... little star anise ..chopolte pepper .. biggest on the nose is the spicy pepper ... light spice up front ... foams quite a bit in then ... soft chocolate roast ... very tobacco leaf ... can you avacado leaves? ... soft lightest smoke from the chilli
