abirres (126) - Salamanca, SPAIN - DEC 15, 2016
Bien ejecutada.

Initially decided to only include ratings of new beers. But now adding in some older beers, but without details comments. One of the most disgusting tasting beers I’ve ever had. For me it just does not work. If it wasn’t Mikkeller would it score as highly

3.6
Stultus (180) - ESTONIA - JUL 2, 2016
Pours golden with a thick white head, decent lace. Aroma is malty, sweet, spicy pepper and ginger. Taste is fresh spicy, citrusy accompanied by sweet maltiness. Bitter and dry finish. Medium body and carbonation

Bottle picked up locally. Pours a hazy golden orange color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have pale malts, pilsner malts, but the spicy peppercorns grow, grass, lemon citrus, herbal, strange collection of flavors, gimmicky, but it is a tick.

bottle. Pale golden with one finger head. It’s exactly what’s described - a pilsner with peppercorns, but at the same time, this is really unique and interesting. I can’t decide if it works, which probably means it does by default. Spicy, but no heat. Not sure how this relates to Chinese food, but I’ll take their word for it.

12-oz. Pours a crystal clear pale gold with a loose and sudsy white head. Nose is light enough to let the full tanginess of the peppercorns come through, not just a spicy note. Creamy light body with soft and lively carb. Tangy sweet/sour peppery mid palate. Not unpleasant, and probably works as intended as a change of pace to pair with chinese food and whatnot. But not that amazing on its own merits.
