Quadrupel barrel aged on Bourbon barrels. Nice malty taste with notes of dark chocolate and dark fruits. The barrel aging gives a nice warmth from the alcohol as well as a nice aroma of vanilla.

Not that impressed, definitely an aged Bourbon taste, but more of a cough medicine nature. Nothing like Anderson Valley or Firestones Bourbon Barell aged Beers. Maybe its a Quad thing. Definitely not my thing...

Bottle. Drank at home after a stressful first all-grain BIAB brew day. Pours dark ruby brown with a big reddish tinged frothy head that partially lasts. Aroma is a bit milder than I would expect but fresh red fruits, caramel, baking spices, fresh brown bread, lighter bourbon vanilla notes. Flavor is fairly potent with more bourbon booze throughout on top and doing a good job of obscuring the same. Feel is very lively, boozy bite and warmth, somewhat tannic and sticky end. This is hitting the spot for me right now. The bourbon and quad just works here.

Pours a Dark brown/mahogany with a ton of orange and yellow chunks of sediment. Nose has a great amount of bourbon with some dark fruits, caramel, roast, chocolate and vanilla. Mouth is very much quad like with a subtle bourbon presence. Not overpowering. Alcohol is also subtle. A lot of dark fruits-figs, raisins and plum. A little bit of caramel and cocoa. Pretty good, but definitely not great.

What can i say? Not as good as the raspberry white / red wine edition, but still mindblowingly good. Almost like whiskey and coke or even a rum and coke, but made with the bestest of the best. Warm, smooth, creamy, not too sweet, perfect finish. Gracias.

Pours deep hazy mahogany into a tulip. Off white head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Soy and oak aromas. Hot with sweet caramel and vanilla upfront turning to over-ripe fruit before the dry lasting milk chocolate finish.

Bottle at home, from Cotteridge Vineyards - Brummigen, 25/08/13 Mikkeller rating #100. Pours a dark chestnut brown with reddish hues and a moderate light tan covering. Nose is bourbon coated dark fruits, figgy jam, light wood, booze steeped prunes, toffee fudge, tobacco. Taste comprises dark toffee fudge, bourbon infused oak, muscavado sugars, light cocoa, dark fruits, dates, raisens, figs. Medium bodied with bite, a little prickly and over carbed which lets this number down a little, subtle bourbon notes in the finish. A decent BA quad, the alcohol is well integrated making this a dangerously drinkable number. Only minus point being the carbonation level. Sub note:- I drank half of the bottle and left in the fridge to return to is a few hours later. The carbonation has softened and flattened. Rating points kept the same.

Bottle from Knightly. Deep hazy brown/ruby color with a tan head. Nose is cherry, red wine vinegar, toffee malt, oak and vanilla. Sweet malt, toffee and hazelnut flavors, vanilla, oak, cherry with touches of plums. Smooth slightly creamy body with no trace of alcohol. Not too shabby.
