What a fun experience this was. Met some nice people to talk beer with at Mikkeller Bar in Stockholm and bought this for all of us to try. I might be wrong (what with having been to Belgium and all) but I think this is my first raspberry flavored beer? Anyhow, it was a joy. I could really see myself becoming a brewer and then making this beer, just for me! I won’t go into all the flavours, it’s too complicated for me, just want to say, gorgeous beer! onceblind (9708) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUL 20, 2017
Aged 5 years. Deep dark brownish black under a sticky rocky light beige head. Bright Raspberry jammy aroma with loads of red wine port and sangria tones and more raspberry purée and deep dark fruity Belgian malts. Huge complex flavor that’s slightly tart with a raspberry purée tone right up front, mellowing into lots of dark Belgian candy sugar, a little raisin, and a smack of caramel covered red wine berries and notes of port and sangria. Hugely jammy, loads of raspberry and gentle tartness throughout. Big red wine nuances throughout. Wowzers. Pyrmir (6107) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - MAR 13, 2013
Bottle @Linköping Beer Expo 2013. Aroma with loads of fresh raspberries, fruit acid, raspberry jam. Tastes of freshly picked and sugared mature raspberries, lovely. Finish is long and woody with wine- and raspberry notes.

375cl bottle served in a snifter. Pours dark brown and very cloudy with hints of garnet and a short-lived off white head. Aroma is oaky red wine, sharp red fruits with a hint of dark chocolate. Aroma is perfectly balanced with sweetness from the chocolate, sharpness from the raspberries, earthy oakiness from the wine barrels and a typically nourishing Belgian ABT base. One of the best Mikkellers I have tried which is high praise indeed. JorisPPattyn (10005) - Ursel, BELGIUM - JUN 23, 2012
Thick, pale-ochre head with a pinkish sheen; nearly black beer with red reflections. Awesome explosing fruity-vinous aromas upon pouring, like old (fruit)wine of exceptional quality. It might not have many facets in terms of complexity, but it’s both so integrated and overwhelming, that it’s absolute top. Raspberries, wood, fruitish sourness, touches of (other) red fruit, chocolate, and finishing on again vinous, wine notes, displaying volatile, rare higher alcoholesters. Very titillating, Champenoise-like carbonation; fruit-filled with a litte acidthinning; resulting in about-medium bodied beer, very refreshing despite the alcohol. Mikkel (and Dirk, I suppose), this is yet another Meisterstück. It’s awe-inspiring. ShelbyGrey (193) - Barcelona, SPAIN - JAN 18, 2013
En botella.color medio oscuro medio rojizo, espuma beish .aromas a fruta roja madura, caramelo y barrica. Sabor complejo con notas a vino y madera con un toque muy sutil acido.una delicia para los sentidos! Lectvay (191) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JAN 20, 2014
I’ve been aging this for about a year and a half. Loved it originally, and tonight decided to see how it’s holding up. Dark brown, medium carbonation. Aroma worried me a little, thought I picked up a little bandaid. After sipping it for a while the aroma seems much frutier and pleasant. Intense ripe raspberry flavor, more than I remember. A little barnyard tartness up front, then tons of rich, dark berry flavors, with just a little syrupy sweetness. It’s just so good. Hard to compare from a fleeting moment years ago, but I’d say this is aging extremely well. Will try again in 6 months or a year. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - AUG 20, 2012
Bottle. Very dark brown with a creamy tan head. Kick-you-in-the-head raspberry aroma. Tart raspberry and chocolate taste upfront with a tangy citrus and oak white wine finish with a lingering oakiness on the far back end. Thick sticky palate. Interesting brew.
