Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Cloudy dark brown, small head. Evident tart cranberry aroma. Syrupy sweet with lots of molasses. Thick and sugary with a light cranberry tartness. Slight resiny bitterness. Messy, sticky and tough to drink. Not at all my cup of tea.

On tap at the Camden Brewdog. Cloudy red brown beer, little pale tan head. Light palate, semi dry. A little raw pale malt. Dark pruney like sourness with cranberry tartness. Pretty intense. Semi dry finish with a lingering sour aftertaste. Okay.

Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 6, 2011
On tap. Pours an opaque dark brown with a rough yet lacing beige head. Strange aroma, some wooden barrels and a tart fruitiness. Medium body, oxidized woody accents, quite tart with a very distinct cranberry note. In the finish things gets pruney, very overripe indeed. The alcohol is pretty well hidden. I never was much of a cranberry fan. This just confirms why. 060511
