Bottle @ ACBF ’11. Aroma is brett with a faint touch of caramel and roasted malt. Flavour is light sweet malt, lavished with brett, yet in a very subtle and smooth way.

Bottle at home. Pours a dark brown with a small off-white head and lacings. Sweet with some dryness. Aromas of red wine with brett and wood. Also some aromas of toasted malts and hints of residual sugars. towards the end. Medium to full bodied. Medium to high carbonation. Dry, bretty finish.

Pours a clear and brown beer with a beige head. The aroma is malt, brett, sweetness, dried fruit, raisin, redwine and wood. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is dry with sweetness. Overall a good and well balanced beer.

maneliquor (3514) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - FEB 23, 2014
Bottle shared in London for my farewell drinks. Picked this one up at Kris Wines I think. Pours clearish mahogany with a small beige head. Nose is plenty of ripe berries with some tartiness as you’d expect, slightly acidic, grapefruit, zesty and milk chocolate. Lots going on but balanced decently. Taste is like a sour Pinot Noir. Think black cherries, tarty blueberry, dusty chocolate, raisins and some bretty tang. A nice red wine finish with some coconut and spice in there. A lot happening but works quite well. Solid drop

355ml bottle from 2d2dspuma online store. Color is dark brown with vanishing head. Body is spiky and carbonation is mediumly soft. Taste is medium to high bitter and medium sour. Also some sweetness. Aroma is red fruits, wood, brett, malt, some sugar, some alcohol, mushrooms. Nice experiment!

BenH (3439) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 17, 2012
Tap at brewdog. Near black with tan head. Aroma has funky sherbet Brett up front, then some chocolate, molasses, brown sugar, vanilla. Taste has Brett, sweet brown sugar, molasses, hint of licorice, hint of chocolate. Sickly sweet with a sour finish. This doesn’t work for me, I found it quite unpleasant

Woody aroma, hints of vanilla. Deep brown/amber in color with tan head. Smooth with winey tones and a tart brett. edge. Notes: Alvinne CBF ’11

Bottle. The bottom of which pours to a disgustingly murky deep brown body. The regular pour looks like a nice quad. Funky brett and red wine infused quad. The taste is red wine and funky quad with lots of caramel and deep yeasts. Creamy velvety body with a very well hidden alcohol.

stravale (3078) - Co. Westmeath, IRELAND - JUN 23, 2012
Keg @ BrewDog Edinburgh, 200612
Dark brown, thin tan ring around glass, hint of lacing
Aroma - Fruity sour, some alcohol, rather tart, dark fruity malts, no hops
Taste - Red fruits, bretty, sour lambicy notes but not too much, sweet dark malts, red wine, dark fruits, good if a bit muddled - I prefer the normal Monk’s Elixir to this
Palate - soft carb, full rich body. Finish as main flavour, sour, dab of acetic acid.
Overall - Interesting, rather good, but I prefer this with no brett....as a Quadrupel this one is no way among the best
