10%ABV. Abt/Quad. Tapped out dark brown. 25ºSRM. Nose was sweet and suggested honey and dates. Mouthfeel was alcoholic and sweet. Palate had dark fruits with black plums, honey plums and dates. Maybe even some sweet almost overripe Kyoho, the wondrously fruity complex darkly sweet Japanese mountain grapes. There is some nice alcoholic heat in the back of the throat to finish. No hops. Goes on Favorites List !

Bottle at home. As "Monk’s Brew". Aroma is malt, spices, caramel, raisins, yeast, candy sugar, a welcome touch of chocolate. Flavour is sugary sweet, a bit sticky, with a little bitterness in the finish. Body is medium. Nice take on the Trappist Quad, rich and smooth.

Bottle at Mikkeller Tasting, Urban Space. Dark reddish color with huge beige head. Aroma of honey, sugar, berries, prunes and raisins. Taste is also very sweet, sugary, with prunes and berries, alcohol

Draft. Dark brown with a small off-white head. Alcohol taste is so strong. Gets better with every sip, as you get used to it. Quite sweet flavour, medium bitter, yeast, spices, roasted malt and more that I can’t really figure out what is. It’s quite a big gulp and the abv seems to be a bit overpowering.

Complex and strong caramel aroma. Heavy sweet taste, full body with oily texture.

lello4ever (1123) - ITALY - MAY 2, 2016

33cl bottle at our holiday home in Travemünde. Hazy brown with a medium slightly off-white head. Medium to full body with low to moderate carbonation. Quite sweet with nice malty bitterness. Caramel, malts, ripe fruits, raisin and spices. Nice!

From notes: Bottle at home. Pours dark with not much of a head. Sugar and dried fruits in the aroma. Malty and alcoholy taste, medium body, maybe a bit rough.

Bottle. Raisin, orange, chocolate malt, and herbal hay aroma. Dark brown with small head. Very sweet candi sugar, caramel malt, raisin, and mildly bitter herbal hay flavor. Nice body. Very tasty.

Trolleo (1688) - Pula / Zagreb, CROATIA - APR 19, 2016
Cloudy dark brown body, minimal sized off-white head. Aroma of alcohol, dried fruit and chocolate. Taste is also dried fruit, berries, raisins, not as sweet as I was expecting. Lively carbonation, medium body. Not bad, but jot my stuff either. //bottle at Craft Room
