4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a nice orange-yellow with a firm off-white head.
The aromas burst from the glass with sweet oranges, spices, freshly baked white bread and loads of character from De Dolle yeast. On the palate it is smooth but extremely well-balanced, slighty sweet but not cloying in any way. Grains and spicy belgian yeast dancing on the palate with a finish that lasts forever. Once again, the best Danish microbrewery has turned in a top-notch effort. A superb brew!
Not bad. Pours a really dark brown. Has a bit of a syrupy taste to it. Not my favorite. kassner (1663) - Wexford, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 4, 2012
cola color with nice head and some lacing from the bottle. Certainly a big beer with lots of fruits and some port notes but too sweet for my taste. bdunhill (255) - Brussels, BELGIUM - OCT 2, 2012
With a nutty aroma and a dark brown complexion this imitation Belgian Ale has all the qualities but only half the flavor of a true Belgian ale. A flavorful Ale with a long lasting palate that does wonders for Danish thoughts on beer!

Pours a deep dark root beer color with a robust tan head and aggressive Belgian lacing. The fragrance is sweet malts and hard Christmas candy. The taste is complex. Initially there is a rush of sweetness which replaced quickly by a dark roasted taste and hints of dark fruit. There is a slight bitter aftertaste. The mouth feel is full with a good balance of carbonation. Enjoyable, but not one to quaff down quickly.

Sampled @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2010. Hazy, dark orange body with a diminishing white head. Aroma is fruity and yeasty with acidity. Flavor is malt, fruit, quite sweet and some acidity keeping the balance. Very nice actually without being fantastic. Fine, balanced body.

8th May 2010. Copenhagen Beer Festival. Bottle shared by Ungstrup - Cheers Jens! Cloudy brown beer. No carbonation. Sweet dry malt. A little warmth in the finish - simple but very tasty! oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - JUN 2, 2010

BeerFest2010 by Ungstrup, thanks Jens! Hazy amber colour, not much head. Aroma is fruits, honey, wood and some mild earthy and spicy notes as well. Flavour is honey, sweet fruits, some nectar, honey, yeast and spices. Rather wellaged brew.

Fruity aroma. Amber coloured and hazy in appearance. Strong in alcohol with a little dryness and bitterness in the finish. gringo332 (640) - Richardson, Texas, USA - MAY 30, 2010
Hazy amber, thin white head and moderate condition. Good yeasty dubbel-like aromas with figs and alcohol apparent, spirity and spicy in the mouth with more figgy fruitiness Dedollewaitor (16159) - Odense, DENMARK - MAY 27, 2010
Bottle. Thanks Ungstrup. Vintage ??? Pours unclear orange with no head. Heavy fruity and vinous nose with a lot of oxidation. Dusty flavor with fruit and caramel. Medium bodied. Past it’s prime but you get the feeling of how good this is when fresh!
