On Tap and the Sail and Anchor, Fremantle advertised as Nelson ALive 6.5ABV, but certianly felt more like a 9% IIPA,
Bloody lovelely aromatic kiwi hop noase, and totally drinkable best of their list chriso (21656) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 1, 2011
On tap (keg) at the Cask Pub & Kitchen on 12 February 2011, as Nelson Alive. Clear amber colour. Good head and condition. Decent hoppy aroma although there is as much sweaty, clammy character as gooseberry. Sweet and spicy (yeast or spices?) on the palate. Orangey notes but with some bubblegum and marzipan too. Very sweet on the palate. A real opinion-divider of a beer - some loved it, others were not too keen to put it mildly. I found it way too sweet for my taste, really rather sickly - just not my thing at all. Not for the first time recently with a Nelson Sauvin beer, I should add.

On tap at Sail and Anchor. Pours a light orange with a small white head. Loads of citrus on the nose, with passionfruit and grapefruit. Pale malts seem to give this one a decent backbone to the citrus hop explosion. Lots of passionfruit, lime, grapefruit, lemon. Good palate, good IPA harrisoni (19338) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - FEB 12, 2011
On tap at CP&K. Clear orange brown. Yes nelson sauvin all over it. But just too sweaty sox. Too swet. Tastes of body odour. Its the least drinkable mikkeller beer i have had. Its beyond bo. Nope i just cant drink it. Hansen (8615) - Assentoft, DENMARK - JAN 30, 2011
Light orange colour and hazy. Has a white head, mostly lasting. Aroma is heavy hopped, notes of herbs, grass, grapefruit, mango. Flavor is light sweet and finish heavy bitter. Medium to full body. Dry texture. Soft carbonation.

Draught at Mikkeller Bar, København, Denmark. As Mikkeller Nelson Alive.sunevdj (4128) - Copenhagen OE, DENMARK - NOV 19, 2010
Hazy golden colour with tiny head.
Yeast, apple and mild hops in aroma.
Malt, yeast, fruity hops and apple in flavour.
Pours a mostly blear golden with a small white head and hints of lacings. Light sweetness with a moderate bitterness. Hoppy aromas of passion fruits. Also hints of straw and brett. Slightly oily mouthfeel with a medium to soft carbonation. Dry finish. Marko (6106) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - SEP 26, 2010
Draught at Mikkeller bar, from my feet, as the last beer I’m likely to drink in Copenhagen on this trip. Unless I manage to get a couple of Norwegian pale lagers cold fast without a fridge but that’s irrelevant :). Poured a hazy amber-orange body with a small white head. The nose belied some soft notes of aroma hops but a distinct vinuous note that I might’ve been imagining but I hope not. The taste came close too, A soft underlying peachy malt, light aromatic hops, some fruity, grape-like notes. A cool enough beer, though not entirely my style. gunnfryd (15287) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 13, 2010
On tap at KØ-2010. Dark golden colour with an off-white head. Aroma is fruit, hop, grass. Flavour is sweet, hop, fruit, grass, citrus. Full body. Nice beer. Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 30, 2010
On tap. Slightly hazy amber golden with a small off-white head. Sweet, juicy and fruity nose with very distinct Nelson Sauvignon notes. Medium body, dry notes of white wine, some yeast and again distinct Nelson Sauvignon. Some alcohol in the finish. Good, but doesn’t reach the levels of the barrel-aged version. 080510
