COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Nelson Sauvignon is a New Year beer it is fermented with ale yeast, brettanomyces and enzymes. Then it has been aged three months in Austrian white wine casks. Very dry, very vinous and very delicious.

UPDATED: FEB 27, 2015 Bottle from Brewdog online. 100th rating called for a good beer and no surprises this is splendidly concentrated tropical urine that really lingers both in the mind and on the tastelets. Booze integrated perfectly. Pineapple for dessert.

750 ml bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours a hazy dark amber/brown color with a large fluffy off white head. The aroma and flavor have herbal notes, Brett, vinous character, white grape juice, funk, spritzy with a hint of alcohol. Pretty good.

Bottle at Cask. Amber colour, big frothy bubbly off-white head. Aroma is lovely, white wine, funkiness, fruity, brett. Taste is predominantly tropical fruits, though initially gueuze like, and quite sharp. Finish is nice and subdued, Long flat, slightly creamy, nice and fruity, orange and pineapple. Further down the bottle, much more fruity, mango, pineapple. Really nice. Nice and spritzy, but soft in the mouth. Have been waiting to drink this again for a long time and it is still great.

Refrigerated 75 cl brown bottle corked and capped poured into a trappist glass. Pours clear amber with medium beige head. Aroma is tart, light body, soft carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is tart, white wine, some spicy hops, some oak, and dry finish. Taste is complex, lots of flavor, good amber belgian ale.

Bottle, 75cl - Semi hazy beer with a large white head. Aroma is fruity with notes of passion fruit, goose berries, white wine, tropical fruit, brett and peaches. Flavor is fruity with notes of goose berries, peaches, tropical fruit and brett. Wonderfully balanced beer with fantastic fruity notes. If there is one beer that will convert a wine lover to beer then this is it.

Perhaps the best beer I ever had. Dry, champagne-y, gooseberry and exotic fruit (grapefruit) aromas and flavours. would be excellent for a New Year's Eve drink or aperitif. Or for celebrating anything really. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
