COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Nelson Sauvignon is a New Year beer it is fermented with ale yeast, brettanomyces and enzymes. Then it has been aged three months in Austrian white wine casks. Very dry, very vinous and very delicious.

Cloudy amber beer. White head. White wine nose with a touch of blackcurrant. Light dry palate, crisp and fresh. Blackcurrant underpinned by fresh grapes and whispers of tangerine and orange. Finishes dry, light and airy. More of the same flavours in the aftertaste. Like a fine white wine with a drop of blackcurrant liquer added. Extraodinary beer!

750 ml bottle, shared with steptin. Don’t worry, GT, we have more. Hazy golden brown, thin off white head, massive lacing. Amazing aroma of rotten oranges, dust, clove, pepper, lemon. Taste is dry, bitter, sour, hints of citrus and a whiff of barnyard funk. Great complexity, good character. I’ll store the other bottles and see what the brett does!
