UPDATED: JAN 21, 2013 Bottle @ Il pretesto. It pours golden orange with a tiny white head on top. Very fruity with orange hints... and then there it is the sour! But never covering the global complexity. A great beer!! Donpakkobeer (7) - MEXICO - JUL 18, 2014 does not count

On tap. Amber brownish color, hazy liquid, white head. Aroma - cognac, oak barrels, cookies, bread, hops. Warm alcoholic finish. Medium to heavy bitter and sweet. Rich, complex, strong. Excellent for winter days. BEENJAMIN (290) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 16, 2013
This has got to be one of the best beer I’ve ever had. It is truly a work of art. Poured into a wine glass, it displays a bright redish hue with an off white head. The nose is complex, very fruity, a little funky, and a little bit of the wood comes through. The flavors are huge and change with almost ever sip. Its tart up front, juicy in the middle, and ends with a nice dry finish that sends this one soaring for me. Very well put together, will purchase again even at twenty two dollars a bottle, worth every penny.

Wow, golden amber in colour light touch of nutty hazyness to it with a lovely lightly beige head and coherent lacing. Noses of floral fruits, grapefruit, citrus, peach, and ripe grapes, a pretty eyebrow raising complexity. Light lively with a slick and velvety texture on the palate. Medium to full body further developing on the palate. Rather refreshing with a finish lasting balanced on the back of the palate which awaits another sip. Excellent beer. ktingleff (169) - - JUL 27, 2013
Perhaps the best beer I ever had. Dry, champagne-y, gooseberry and exotic fruit (grapefruit) aromas and flavours. would be excellent for a New Year's Eve drink or aperitif. Or for celebrating anything really.

Aroma of grape fruit, citrus & orange. Clear amber with long lasting head. Lightly bitter with a sweet touch. Medium body, slick texture & average carbonation. hirigalzkar (3203) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - SEP 11, 2011
On tap @ Bishops Arms Linnégatan. The genius of this beer came as a complete surprise to me. One sip, and I started asking myself wheter this was a modern version of Orval, or maybe a new beer from the Dolle. It’s funky, tart, sweet, fruity and hoppy at the same time (and in a way that only the breweries mentioned above has managed to brew before). It’s super complex, and very very drinkable. Notes of black currant (a lot!), brett, wood, vinous bitterness, orange, citrus and christmas spices. Smooth. ej (1330) - Hauglandshella, NORWAY - SEP 3, 2013
Clear golden orange with a tint of red. Large, frothy head. Aroma of red berries, grapes and wood. Hints of barnyard and tartness. Taste is grapefruity fruity grapeish.. A little sweet at first, bitter then dry. Mouthfeel is light and fizzy. One of the best beers I’ve had.
