(Bottle 50 cl) Unclear amber golden with a thick, creamy yellowish head with good retention. Dry nose with hoppy aromas. Incredibly crisp and dry body completely dominated by notes of grapefruit and a quinine-like bitterness. Some vague earthy and rustic notes. Markedly hoppy finish. Not the most refined IPA from Mikkeller. 170206

Color is deep amber and slight cloudy. The foam is yellowish-beige and longlasting. Aroma is complex and grassy. The hops are jumping out of the glass. It is citrussy, flowery and very herbal in the nose. The taste is dry and nobel sweet at the same time. It has a great agrum bitterness and nice nuttyness. A great and well ballanced beer with a great and longlasting afthertaste.

Ungstrup (37862) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JAN 17, 2006
A quite carbonated beer which leaves a lot of bubbles on the side of the glass, but also a huge light brown long lasting head. The body of the beer is a slightly hazy red. The aroma is hoppy (no wonder) with notes of citrus combined with some flowery notes. The flavor is sweet and very hoppy with notes of grass, grapefruit, and citrus, leading to a very bitter grapefruity end. The body in the middle is slightly thin, but the aftertaste is fantastic.

Fine beer with a sexy foxy coat. The color is red amberish and the foam on top is off white with a yellowish shine. The nose is nutty and has loads of refreshing hops with a citrussy twist. The aroma is complex and has a dry caracter. The taste is slight earthy and has a crisp bitterness of the hops. The mouthfeel is on the dry side bud has enough flesh and roundness to keep it in balance. I’m not use to this style bud i realy love this. Thanks Lachesis !

fiulijn (20604) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 10, 2006
Cloudy red-amber color; big creamy head. Nice aroma, hoppy (European hops, old), hop resins, light flowers (orchid), ver light fruits (abricot). Medium mouthfeel, dry-bitter and a lot of resins. Of course the final is extreme and long, with caramel notes. Good, but maybe too dry and not enough malty.

50 cl. bottle. Now here’s a beer! Excellent bitter and citrusy aroma. Beatiful dark pale apperance. Flavor is one of the best I’ve tasted in an IPA - it’s ALL about the hops. and nothing else. Fantastic mouthfeel, just as bitter as it’s supposed to be. Overall, an archetypical IPA worthy along side the best of them :-)

toccata (70) - grembergen, BELGIUM - DEC 11, 2005
Cloudy amber beer, very creamy off white yellow head. Very aromatic nose, nuts, flowers, herbs, woody touches and some honeyed bisquits. This beer has a full, medium dry mouthfeel with a complex bitterness. Finale is well ballanced and leaves a very long refreshing afthertaste. Thanks Lachesis for sharing this most original beer.

MPA (999) - Amager (form. Nørrebro&Aalborg), DENMARK - NOV 29, 2005
Bottle. Heads up! This beer knows how to give head - it’s huge!!! The aroma has flowers and citrus in it in abundance, but underneath there is hints of something synthetic reminding me of St. Louis’ Faro. Flowers, orange and bitterness on the tongue, but still some plastic in it (did someone drop a Transformer action figure in this?). But I really like the taste though, and the foaming of the beer in my mouth, makes my cheeks go all Louis Armstrong-like and I was actually "dancing cheek to cheek" with this beer (not with Sofajoern, who accompagnied me in tasting this beer). Enoyable, but leaves a little left to be desired.

Sofajoern (146) - DENMARK - NOV 29, 2005
Hazy amber orange brew with a huge lasting head. Extremely flowery aroma. Full, rich flavourwith a hint of sweetness (pineapple?) and orange peels. Has a faint trace of synthetics, that keeps this from being truly great. Thanks to MPA for the taste.

Emil (6065) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 22, 2005
Bottle. Hazy amber colour with a big tan head. Sweet hoppy, pine, grape aroma and a sweet dry hoppy, grape taste. Medium body and a sweet dry hop finish.
