This is possibly the best aroma from a porter of all time. Chocolate sweet marshmallow, fudge, baking bread and a touch of coffee. I could go on but I need to move forward. Smooth rich cream and milk chocolate flavor.booze is noticeable throughout. Bitter coffee and booze keep it in check from going too far toward sweet. The finish is just a great lingering roast and coffee with the dryness from the booze keeping me smiling. Best beer experience I’ve had this year without a woman with me.

500ml bottle, beersofeurope.com. Well, where do I start? From the pour, which started quite flat, this deeply tan coffee coloured head bubbled into life and it’s retaining well, as I get about a third of the way down my pint glass. This is a stunning beer. All the heavy roast malt characteristics you could want in a porter, but then a faintly spicy , but noticeable, hop note creeps in to give a great balance. On the tongue it’s smooth, rich and so fully flavoured. There’s liquid chocolate in the finish and the aftertaste is a myriad of dark complex flavours. Mouthfeel is absolutely fasntastic and it is well coated. One of the finest I’ve tasted and, yet again,Aa beer that really belies it’s ABV. Almost unnoticeable.

Pours a deep, warm sable just a hair above black with a very thick and rather persistent tan head. Strong, smoky aroma has notes of roast coffee, licorice and semi-sweet chocolate. Bold flavor has a smoky overtone and includes coffee, licorice and chocolate tones plus a bitter hoppy note and more than a hint of sweetness. Full-bodied texture is smooth and quite fizzy, leaving a smoky, chocolaty finish. If this is not the best porter I have ever had, it is certainly one of the best. Keep up the good work, Mikkeller!

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. This inky back beer pours with a bright brown foamy head. It has citrus fruit, liquorice, chocolate and coffee flavours with a creamy red fruit and leather finish. Fantastic!

I love this beer. Thick, dark body, off white head, light fizz. Chocolate, coffee and caramel flavour. Delicious. I want more.

Light auburn head with a full bodied flavor. Perfect beer for dark crafted fans. I was pleasantly surprised by this porter and it’s slightly chocolately taste. Don’t expect to see any light seep through your glass.

Cerveza porter, capa de espuma muy ligera, cremosa y pegajosa color beige. Olor principalmente a café y malta tostada. En boca se aprecian las maltas tostadas y achocolatadas, pronunciándose las últimas sobre todo y dando paso a un sabor ligeramente lupulado, dejando un final bastante dulce.

Pours jet black with huge lacing. Aroma is a little coffee, roasted malts, some dried fruits, a small amount of hops. Simply amazing porter!
