Tap @ EBF, 2008, Carlsberg.
Pours a lovely pale orange-red with no head. A nice shine to it, though. Aroma is dry, lots of funkiness, clear definition of oak and a very light, subdued fruitiness. Red currants aren’t the most aroma-full berries, so that probably goes with the show. Highish carbonation, really latting the flavours dance in my mouth. And the flavours... oh, the flavours. Incredibly balanced fruitiness and wonderful tartness. The oak in clearly present again. Super, elegant and powerful. Make this again, Mikkel!

Grovlam (4247) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - SEP 18, 2008
[EBF @ Copenhagen, September 2008] Light reddish small fizzy head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Hazy reddish color. Aroma of vinegar, citrus, berries and redcurrant, barnyard, leather and somewhat perfumes. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and dry texture. Moderated to heavy acidic flavor with good counter sweetness. Dry sour redcurrant finish.

bierkoning (13355) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - SEP 17, 2008
Darught @ EBF 2008. Ugly pinkish orange color. Red berries and vinegar in the aroma. Red berries in the sour vinegar-like flavor, luckliy not offensively sour. Lemon coming up in the aftertaste. Good, not excellent.

duff (5484) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - SEP 17, 2008
Draught at EBF. This is pretty epically sour. Lots of sour smelly, vinegary authentic lambic notes in the aroma, and the flavour. The sour red currant fruit comes through as soon as it hits your tongue. Very acidic, and quite earthy in character. Puckering, very nice.

sunevdj (4087) - Copenhagen OE, DENMARK - SEP 17, 2008
On tap @ European Beerfestival 2008. Pours a warm pale red. Smells a bit of athlete’s feet. Quite sour with aromas of red currant. Aslo a bit of sweetness. Hint of plastic/rubber. Low carbonation.
